I finally called the Princess phone number on the shareholder page from CCL and that is no longer in service, but they gave another number to call. After several minutes, the rep told me I had to use stock perks. Now stock perks is having difficulties connecting to my broker.

When I emailed Stockperks about the connection problems they got back to me and said to resign into the app and my cruise info would be there. I did, and it was, and this morning I got emails from them and Princess that my OBC had posted - it took the 5 days they said it would. 🙂

I sent a fax for a Carnival cruise and it went thru, and I sent one for Princess but haven't heard anything back. We shall see...

One thing to remember is that everyone tries to get on the ship as soon as possible. If you are staying over night in town, think about not heading over to port until 1:00. Once the crush is over with, the taxis will likely free up.  Leave your luggage at your hotel/inn/B&B and walk around town; check out the local Dover museum, pickup some water or wine, etc. I personally prefer getting to the port after the main rush at 11:00. And If you get there at 1:00, you usually can take your luggage straight to your room.

😀 Thanks for the good ideas. I totally forgot about buying wine!

Most convenient for the cruise terminal is the Best Western Plus Dover Marina Hotel. But it’s still a mile/20 minute walk so you may want a taxi - the receptionist would help get you one.

There are a few other hotels in Dover town centre including a Travelodge and Premier Inn but they’re all pretty basic. It’s not the nicest of places - the castle and famous white cliffs are its saving grace. Most Brits would only ever go there to catch a ferry to France.

From your reply, I'm guessing you can walk into the port? I know some ports don't allow that. We have been trying to find a taxi, but they all say they are booked already.

  5. I found that because they downsized the Patters, not all the events were listed, and we missed a couple of things we were interested in. Near the end of the cruise we found out we needed to scroll thru the onboard displays to see all the events (not very "user-friendly" if you need to keep getting up to go find one), or you could use the Medallion app (but you need to carry your phone everywhere). We're just too old-school, I guess!

American. We ended up on AA 78 DFW-LHR. Left around 11:20pm and we arrived in Heathrow about 2pm. I guess the meal was served a little after midnight Dallas time.

The flight we missed had the same food or similar. Always seem to be a chicken dish and a pasta dish in Premium Economy.

The flight back is around 2pm and these are the choices

    • Grilled Chicken Breast Grilled Chicken Breast
Grana Padano sauce, orzo pasta, grilled vegetables
    • Indian Korma Indian Korma
paneer cheese, spicy spinach, basmati rice

Breakfast was served around noon before we landed.

Thanks, we are on AA going, but we leave at 8pm.
