Thanks for doing this live thread. I am loving your interesting and informative posts. Sky Princess took us to Norway last year and in one month we will be boarding Regal in Southampton for British Isles cruise. Your photos are stunning! Have a great trip!

So happy you are back on a cruise AND blogging again. I have enjoyed your blogs for years, savoring your writings each day you sail, sad when your adventure/blog is over. Wishing you a wonderful cruise and a happy anniversary.

Pre-book to be safe.
I can not find any that will prebook. Martin's Taxi will not! Any suggestions on who might prebook?

Thanks so much Jeter2 for your most enjoyable review. We did a Norway cruise last year on the Sky Princess and loved it. I got to relive these ports through your narratives and pictures. Your love of cruising was apparent throughout your posts and it was a joy for me to read such a positive review. Those food pictures made me more excited for our September British Isles cruise. I'll be on the lookout for your Alaskan adventure posts. Thanks again for taking the time and energy to do this live review! Safe travels!

I have read that on previous Princess sailings there was a deck party at midnight. Cruise was named Land of the Midnight Sun, same as this one. We are are this cruise too so we will see.

Good review! Thanks for sharing.

We’ve used some for formal photos. If any is refundable, you can get a check for unused amount about 6-8 weeks after your cruise.

Thanks for your review. We board Regal right after the holidays and it’s great to hear about your recent experience.

I am following too! Have enjoyed your previous reviews and excited to learn of your latest adventure. Thanks for doing this!! Can't wait for beautiful Europe pictures, as our first trip back isn't until June 2022.

I am sailing to the ABC islands - with another line - next week and I know that we have been informed that only vaccinated guest can travel ashore independently - unvaxed (those under 12 usually) must take ship's tour. Masks are mandatory inside, and proof of vaccination could be requested so have ready. Aruba does have some rules currently with no one on beach in evening, curfew at night. Bonaire and Curacao are same as above but no curfew.
Thanks for this info. There is a lot of conflicting info on the web.

Thank you to gmcwalker and other passengers for taking the time to do this Live from thread. I always enjoy reading these and especially one from Emerald Princess which is a favorite of ours. Also there is some learning for me and maybe others that have not yet returned to cruising but plan to do so soon.
We are doing an ABC cruise in January and I am wondering what the specific entry requirements for cruise passenger are for each island. I know that you are not arriving to these islands til later in the cruise, and I am assuming there will be some onboard Covid testing prior to arrival in these ports. I have read so much conflicting information and it is difficult to interpret the information that applies to cruise passengers on each countrys' official websites. Please let us know if/what online forms need to be completed and if testing is required within 2-3 days of visiting any of these ports.
Have a great cruise! Wish we were there.....

If you have one of the balconies that would accommodate four people, having an Ultimate Balcony Dinner would be a great way to treat them. It's our favorite way to celebrate an occasion on a cruise.
Great idea! Will have to save it for next time, just a regular balcony this cruise.

Thank you Shelly! That is the info I needed. I thought that was the case, but have not done it before and couldn’t find any previous posts on this. It will be fun to treat our friends!

Can we use on board credit to treat friends at one of the specialty restaurants? We have much more obcs than our traveling companions. Can we have their dining upcharge added to our bill?

I also can’t seem to book our complimentary (from a promo) specialty dining. Not the one from being in a suite. They want to put it on my credit card. That should be corrected!!! We sail in November.
I was able to book complimentary specialty dining for a January cruise, but I feared it was going to charge my credit card too, until on the very last screen it showed a zero charge. I was able to schedule it for another couple who are cruising with us as well, after I added them as a traveling companion.

We ordered these from Amazon. They slide onto a watch band. Reviews are good, but we haven’t actually tried them yet. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RC2B9BY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Have you tried different browsers? I find google chrome works when others don’t.

Your agent is misinformed. Some would say find another agent. Only you can decide if your agent is normally very knowledgeable or never quite sure what the real situation is.
You did not indicate the type/length of cruise, but some Grand Voyages and also World Cruises and lengthy segments will require a larger cash deposit and your FCD is consumed in exchange for a 3% reduction in the base fare.
Idahospud and steelers36,
Do you know if my FCC then becomes nonrefundable? I called Princess and they said it does. But I know the person I talked to may not know the correct answer.
Thanks again.

Thanks Idahospud and steelers36! That is the answer I wanted!

I've read this entire thread and several others about non-refundable vs refundable threads and I am still confused. I currently have a cruise booked and used our FCCs as our deposit. I would like to take advantage of the Landmark sale now. My online travel agent tells me that I will still have to pay the 10% deposit now whether booking under the K7 non-refundable code or the N7 refundable code. I thought when using a FCC, it is the only deposit you have to make til final payment is due. Do I really have to pay the 10% deposit now to get the $1000 onboard credit offered with the Landmark sale?

Truly enjoyed your review! Thanks so much for sharing your time and information! I will be looking back to it as I start to make plans for our Norway cruise.

Following and loving your review too, as we are doing the Land of the Midnight Sun on the Crown Princess next year. Your pictures are just amazing. Getting so many ideas from you. Thank you so much for sharing your trip!
Military and shareholders OBC is combinable
in Princess Cruises

My CVP called me today to say that the shareholders benefit had a change this week and is again combinable with the military credit. She did not give me a date as to when it becomes effective.
