I always follow your blogs though I hate to admit I am a lurker. Hope I spelled that

correctly.  If possible would you check the cost to upgrade to a premium package

while on board.  There is a lot of discussion on the boards regarding same.  I have

been told that as of Jan 1st the cost is $10 plus gratuities but not until then.   I am

one of the unfortunate cruisers if this is true as I have paid $14 to upgrade.  Thanks

much.  I leave on the Reflection when you return.  So wish I could have had the

opportunity to meet you both at the martini bar!

I called the Captains Club this morning and I was told the new prices only apply to

cruises after Jan 1st.  I am cruising in two weeks so I have to pay the old price.

Has anyone been given this explanation?

We asked for the MDR menu each evening but we were not allowed to order from

the Blu menu We were on the Infinity

I am enjoying your review very much. My sister and her husband and two friends are on

board and I feel like I am with them, wish I was. I keep looking for them in your pictures

but so far have not seen them. They are staying on board today so perhaps today is the

That situation was our fear, but we were next to a couple who were so quiet we weren't sure they were ever in the suite.

Would you perhaps have pictures of this suite?

I am thinking of booking this suite. The information on this M Class cabin

is not up to date. Any kind of information would be greatly appreciated.

Pictures would be wonderful. Looking forward to hearing from someone.

Thank you Jenna. I have read many of your posts. I was hoping the sky suites had been solstized. The picture on celebrity web site is then quite false as it shows all the new

furnishings the same as s class.

Looking at your previous posts I think you sailed on the Infinity in 6130

I am thinking of booking 6128 Has the cabin been updated to solstice class

furnishings. Would this be the cabin looking into yours. Any help you

could give me would be really appreciated as I have tried to find out about

this cabin before I make the final payment I have never had a suite before

I cannot comment if they are like the S class suites as I haven't been in a suite on either S- class or M -class. I have only been in a suite on the Celebrity Century which is now gone.

Tis a great ship, I preferred the layout pre-solstication but it is still nice.and if the itinerary is so good, book it soon.

Seeing you are on the cruise now I wonder if you could answer a question for me. I would like to know how much Celebrity charges for the return bus transportation to Rome. Do you know of any other way to get to Rome from the ship. Thank you

I was looking at 6126 as it looks like a larger balcony but it also looks like it has not been solsticed or refurbished.

Someone out there must have stayed in a S1 on the Infinity. Please help me out. Have the Sky suites been solsticed or are they still the old suite style.

Does anyone have a picture of a sky suite on the Infinity S1 or S2?

Are the sky suites worth the extra cost?

Any help would be appreciated as we have never booked a suite before.

Are there any better locations on the ship?

personally LOVED my C1 hump cabin #1243 - about triple the size of a standard balcony - it was HUGE!!!!! Literally the largest non-suite balcony on the ship! The balcony was great for hosting cocktail parties - we had 25+ people out there one day! Being on the aft part of the hump there was virtually no wind issue to deal with. We got sun when we wanted it, and shade if desired as well. Due to balcony depth there were no privacy issues related to the angled shape.

 

There are 58 +/- cabins with the same size balcony we had - they are:

 

Resort Deck: 2105, 2109, 2106, 2110

Penthouse Deck: 1547, 1552, 1601, 1605, 1606, 1610

Sky Deck: 1075, 1044, 1231, 1243, 1247, 1108, 1120, 1124

Panorama Deck: 9155, 9192, 9209, 9215, 9237, 9241, 9266, 9270, 9292, 9296

Vista Deck: 8197, 8160, 8257, 8253, 8279, 8283, 8226, 8230, 8252, 8256

Sunrise Deck: 7159, 7206, 7215, 7219, 7241, 7245, 7260, 7264, 7286, 7290

Continental Deck: 6155, 6156, 6209, 6215, 6237, 6241, 6210, 6214, 6236, 6240

 

Most of these are on the hump, but some are forward where the ship starts to indent. The rooms run the range from Category 2C, 1A, C1, or AQ (with the exception of 6209/6210 which are categorized as 07 Obstucted Balcony - great balcony at a small price!). There are also many cabins adjacent to the ones I listed that also have oversized balconies that are about double the size of normal ones, but I would go for the triple sized ones first

Does anyone know why 1608 is not included in the larger balcony list?
