Will be traveling on Edge in a sky suite. for the first time in April, actually first time on Celebrity. A while back, you mentioned you asked for a “mattress softener” ? What were they able to do, and did it work?im hoping it helped, my back and hips will thank you.

To be fair to the ship or ships involved. The ships in port sail nearly every Sunday at that time. This launch was scrubbed from the day before. Shouldn’t they have been aware of the sailing time before they rescheduled the launch, and then planned accordingly?

But Luminae is the MDR for suites. The whole idea behind it is to give Retreat guests an MDR experience (i.e., you and the servers get to know each other) but in an environment that's a notch up in service and selection. It's not just about the menu, but one of the major draws of Luminae on M and S ships is the ability to order from other assigned dining rooms without having to go somewhere other than Luminae.
If you were in a suite and showed up at the MDR, I'm sure they would do their best to accommodate you as they do in Blu, but it's not your assigned dining room. It's someone else's, and you're now taking up their bandwidth. It's not like you can book it in the way you can a specialty restaurant.
Also, what's the problem with mixing and matching? I might not want the MDR menu, but I might want something from it. There have been a number of times in Luminae where I ordered an appetizer from one menu and an entree from another (and maybe a dessert from another still), especially after the first cruise in Luminae. I've had tablemates who did the same. Not to mention how that tablemate has been my wife on occasion. It was rather nice that we could both have the selections we wanted without having to split up or go nomadic.
At least they expanded the E-class Luminae menus to include "classic" offerings. Still, it's a downgrade from what you get in Luminae on other ships. That's one of my problems with the E-class ships. The "ship within a ship" concept is done in a manner that limits options more than expand them.
None of the Luminea menus for E class I have seen have a “classic offerings “ does anyone have a link?

I didn’t know that on Edge class ships, you couldn’t order from the MDR menu in Luminea. I have to say I’m disappointed at the lack of that option.what are the room service options for suite guests? Does Luminea have a classic menu each night like the MDR?

I have the same issue online. My invoice shows all the suite perks. Online the only thing that shows is the 600.00 OBC. No WiFi, no drink pkg.

After only receiving 500.00 Friday for our cancelled 5/31 Equinox cruise. Today we received the full balance owed to us. We are now whole. We had used a TA to book , but had requested our full refund through the Celebrity site on April 20. It took just slightly less than a month. Best of luck to all you still waiting.

We were scheduled to go on the Equinox on May 31st. We received notification on April 16th that it was canceled. Immediately, I requested a refund. I was quite nervous after reading all the replies regarding the slow/no refunds. On Friday, May 15th, just one month after the cruise was nixed I was issued a credit for the entire amount. I didn’t have to call and spend endless hours to inquire about my refund, needless to say I was a happy gal.
We were booked on the same cruise. We also immediately requested a refund. On Friday we received a credit on our CC for $500.00, less than 10% of what we are owed. This was our 45th anniversary cruise and we saved up and treated ourselves to a suite. Now how long will I have to wait for my balance? I paid my bill in full when Celebrity asked for it. I feel that they should do the same.

I use to use a local TA. We would get a bottle of wine or a $ 25 OBC. It didnt matter if my bookong was $1500.00 or $7000.00. I asked if she could do better. She said if she put me in a group possibly. So we did that. Did I do better? Nada So I checked around with friend and found a large cruise TA based in FL. I now get OBC based on my booking, Usually a specialty dinner and a 10% rebate to me when the cruise it complete. Needless to say I am much happier.
My last booking..6122.20 including 246.20 for port taxes and fees, and 458. travel protection. we then used $1000. in credit card travel credit leavin a balance of 5122.20 .
We got $165.00 refundable OBC, dinner for 2, and we get a 508.00 travel rebate check.
I will take that over a bottle of wine anyday.

Our cruise isnt until the end of May, so we still have time to decide. I have health issues and will cancel if it doesnt get any better. Where will we go instead. Nowhere. Our vacation $ for this year is tied up in the cruise. We treated ourselves to a Celebrity Suite for our 45th anniversary. We got a good deal, but still there is nothing else in this years piggy bank.

I have never heard of using onboard credit as an additional gratuity. Could someone please explain how you would go about doing this? Thank you

Your pulmonologist can do a walk test to see if your husband can use a pulse POC. If he can , the pulse POC are lighter in weight and have longer battery life. you need to know which pulse setting he would need in order to find one that meets his needs. As for the airlines, many no longer require a Dr note to fly, so make sure you check with yours. In addition, if flying, Federal regulations require anyone using a POC to sit in a window seat. as stated above be sure to have a pulse oximeter available.
As for a scooter, check with the cruise line as to the width of the door as well as the space allotment in the room. Hope this helps

Thank you so much for the cabana pics and all the info for those of us who are mobility challenged. It will come in very handy as I try to figure out the best way to get to my cabana.

Does anyone have a picture of the Chill Island cabanas. How big is the step up to the cabana? I have mobility issues and am getting concerned that I will not be able to access my cabana. I can request assistance via a beach wheelchair to get to the cabana but it wont help getting up into the cabana if the step up is too high.

The Coastal Kitchen on Anthem is the best. There are at least 7 different menus and the chef and staff are wonderful. They are truly there to serve you. We just spent 14 nights on Anthem and ate there each night.

I’m sure there will be a change. Why? Because I am literally 1 point from D+. I’m sure that’s going to get screwed up. Lol

1can of Coke, $4.13 including tax and tip 3 minutes ago on Oasis.

What about the Diamond Lounge on Oasis? Can you go in get a cup of specialty coffee and leave? would be convenient since I am right down the hall.

I am not sure how it works in Europe, but we recently has this problem in the US. We called Royal and they have an option called pick up and drop off where you do not need to enter the flight number to schedule a transfer from the airport. I would call to see if they have something similar .

Did you call C&A or Club Royal? I thought you had to call Club Royal to register MLife Status. I have not linked mine this year since I renewed my Staus at MLife. I am MLife gold, but to be honest the last time I tried to linked the accounts, it got It screwed up. So I was reluctant to link them again.

Yes we are staying over nite at the Hyatt. The only problem I have with Cortran’ s is you have to pick a specific time.
-
Arriving at MCO the night before our cruise and staying overnight at the airport. Royal wont allow me to book their transportation to the port because my flight does not arrive on the day of the cruise, which is so stupid. Someone said just put in another flight number; but there is no flight from my airport on my airline arriving that morning. Plus if i did that the flight would not match my flight on my check in paperwork. DH does not want to rent a car. Need transportation for 2 with luggage and a folding transport wheelchair. Any advice would be appreciated.

I had a Grand suite on Anthem last May, it was 5800. When I looked to book it for this year, it was over 9000. Instead I book Oasis Owners suite for 5100. It’s a 7 nite vrs a 9 on Anthem but I felt it was a great price. Anthem is getting too expensive.

I sent a email to the concierge, and I just heard back. He asked me to send a screenshot of the page as shore excursions said its not on "sale".. I just sent out the screenshot so lets see if I hear back.
