There were 2 other people from the cruise on our Vatican tour!! What are the chances? Our guide was informative but had no patience with anyone who did not keep up or asked a question. Wouldn’t have even tried to tour the Vatican and museum without a guide though. St. Peter’s Square was mind boggling in the size and beauty.

Was thinking this morning that our room steward, Komang, has really been wonderful. Very pleasant guy and so hard working. Overall, I think that the crew has been really great and welcoming.
Reflecting on our meals at the specialty restaurants so far, it's been a really slow dining process, but I think we just have to adjust our preferences to what happens at sea. I see in the calendar that they've budgeted 2 hours for specialty dining reservations and it has been taking about 1 hour 45 minutes each visit. So, they've been exceeding the expectation and getting us out "early", it's just a long time for us sitting in one place. 🤣
@Joe33472agree Komang is a great room steward. We must be on the same deck.

Alas, no. Sometimes around Guest Services on a pillar somewhere they post pictures of who the Executive Team on board is, like the Godmothers portrait. If you have loyalty status you can ask the Concierge. Only other option is to hit Guest Services when there's nobody in line and ask them.
It’s Captain Marek

About to cross into FL from GA. Definitely have bigger bags than you all. But not as much as usual. See everyone tomorrow!

Wow some of my favorite posters all on the same TA. Definitely will have to keep reading to follow your fun. Hopefully @GimmeOceanand the rest of us on the Odyssey TA will be having as much fun as @laurieal and the rest of you while we race you to Europe.

She is currently our favorite ship. She is a large ship with all of those bells and whistles but has the feel of a more intimate smaller ship. The one thing we don’t like is the location of the pub and the lack of seating outside the pub. I love to people watch. Love Playmakers location and layout, but can’t believe they didn’t put a bathroom close by. Some people don’t like the location of Izumi but not a big deal to us. We sail for the 3rd time in a few weeks.

There should be a sheet outlining benefits in your cabin. I almost missed it on our last cruise because it was on the back of a folded sheet. But no separate invitation to Top Tier event it was included on that sheet. But, that was out cruise on Adventure in January. Things could have changed already.

4 drinks per person per day. Assuming you are both Diamond. Which you probably are...

Glad to hear that they got the coffee machine working in the Crown Lounge. When we were on in January it worked 2 mornings out of our 8 onboard. Felt the same way about Puerto Plata. Thanks for the heads up about the gratuity in the spa. Will keep that in mind when we are back on her. Is it safe to assume it's the same way on all the ships?

Avoid the duck. That thing was tougher than shoe leather. I rarely send things back, but this one went back.
Same. DH said it must have flown all the way to the ship to be that tough.

Oh my gosh, so excited for all of you. Excellent decision on Royal’s part. Looking forward to hearing all about this adventure.

Thank you for letting us all travel along with all of you. We made (for us) last minute plans and are now going on Adventure January 5th. Haven’t sailed on her in a bunch of years so it was great to have all pictures. We too will be near the library so I know where to go on the days I have to work. Looking forward to the videos. Have a new list of drinks to try in the Schooner bar. Sending positive thoughts for the next knee surgery.

Oldest: Nordic Empress
Newest: Odyssey
Favorite: Odyssey. One of the reasons for that is the first time we sailed on her there were only 750 passengers so we were VERY spoiled. Have our 3rd cruise on Odyssey in April.

We did the Chef's Table on Odyssey in February and had a blast Food was good, wine was good and our table mates were an absolute blast. Have kept in touch with some of them. I think the normal price is $99 per person so I would absolutely do it.

There are also printable magnetic sheets. They are letter size. You can use the whole sheet or cut to size. I've done those a couple of times.

We really enjoy Columbus Cove. It’s a beautiful beach. Food, restrooms and drinks all close by. Being by the zip line can be fun for watching the people. But the rocky beach takes a lot away from the area for us.

I like both but enjoy the sea days and like the more laid back feel of Labadee.

Following. Always excited for a live @JessyCruises review. Of this trip, we too have only been to London.

@seadog loved both of the videos. The one for Sue was beautifully done and had me crying at my desk. The second one made me realize that I need to stop lurking and book Bella 2. Thank you and all the others that took those of us at home along on your wonderful cruise.

He has 8 and a week to go.Saw a teenage girl on Odyssey last month with a wrist full of bands and it immediately reminded me of Owen on your NYE/Birthday cruise. Guess she was a “baddie” but as a mom of 4 daughters and 3 granddaughters I have trouble with that slang. 🙄

Not to jump in on @Joe33472 and @LooneyCruzer review. Since we were so close, we were by the Colosseum all 4 days. The guys selling stuff were plentiful but a firm “No” and they went away.
