  1. Last time we stopped at Dominican Republic was in 1998.

We stopped in Samana a few hrs ago...worst island I’ve been to. Very poor, not much to see. The excursions were really a ripoff. A cigar factory turned out to b a lean to with two guys handrolling some tobacco leaves. We were held up by a dozen school children begging money. It was awful

  2. Last year on the Anthem I had a terrible backache so I asked our cabin guy to help and at first he brought a board which was too hard but not to worry he said he would bring me a duvet. He did but still too hard. Said he would get another not to worry. Well this kind man continued to add duvets until I was satisfied. Now I am not one to be demanding and I thanked him profusely for his help. He was so gracious and was remembered at end of our cruise. Point is don’t b afraid to ask for help until u r satisfied. He made an unbearable situation bearable for me

  3. We stopped in Ocho Rios Jamaica 25 years ago on Majesty and felt so uncomfortable that we've avoided any itinerary that included Jamaica since. We felt very unsafe every time we got off the tour bus that we stopped getting off the bus when it stopped. It was a combo tour (RCCL excursion) that took us around part of the island, we climbed the waterfall, and had multiple shopping stops with a food stop somewhere. We were bothered by locals from the second we stepped through the gates to meet the excursion and every time the bus stopped. We even had a couple locals come onto our tour bus to sell us drugs while it was stopped at a shopping area. We were newlyweds, in our mid 20s, totally freaked out and could not get back on the ship fast enough. I don't think the ships stop in Ocho Rios anymore?
