I cancelled today and was told it would be on my credit card in 5-10 days. Guess I shall see.

We stayed overnight in Nassau. The casino was not open during the day but did open at 7 pm that evening.

I ordered one Saturday and received it today (Wed.). I have managed to find them on the website on several different Saturday mornings.
-
I checked at 6:00 am this morning and they were sold out. My husband checked around 8:30 and they were there. I checked so early because previously it was early Saturday morning when I happened across them on three different occasions now. So I would suggest that you check on Saturdays between 6 and 8am, multiple times. I would have missed them today if the husband hadn't checked.

The ones Verizon had this morning were not eGift cards. They are actual gift cards to be mailed to you. That's why they charged 59 cents extra on them. They have had eGift cards previously that you got through email but did not have them this morning.

We were there last year and bought a postcard at a store in the cruise center area. They directed us to the place we could buy a stamp and mail a post card. The best I remember there is an area where they have built some small stands for locals to sell things and it was in one of those. Just ask and I am sure someone can direct you.

I thought it should only give me that rate if my state was eligible but wasn't sure. Now they have denied it so I guess I will call them.

I have used Early Saver for a couple of cruises so far. However, I have one question that I haven't found an answer for. When I check fareviewer if the "resident" rate is cheaper, how do I know what state you have to be a resident of to qualify for it? I have went to do an actual booking and it will let me get to the put in your personal info so does that mean I do? or is the fact it even shows me the resident rate means I qualify?

We stayed in the grand scenic oceanview on Valor last June. It was wonderful. I felt like we were on the ship by ourselves as you can see out the front and side. Would stay in one again. :D

I have booked early saver previously and am aware of the restrictions. I have a cabin on hold for a cruise and plan on booking early saver again. I was able to put the cabin on hold with the 2nd passenger as TBA. My question is will it let me book it that way and add the second passenger later? Anyone have any experience with this?

So excited! I saw this post and I have saved. Have my spring cruise booked on the Dream and surprise graduation cruise for my niece booked on the Splendor. I can't wait as we sell out of San Juan and into New York. Thanks everyone!

Taxi fares are calculated based on what zone you are traveling to and from. Also they will also add $1 per each piece of luggage they handle. The price is per trip whether you have 2 people or 4 people. Every taxi we rode in was a van so they could handle more than 2 people. Look at the post "valor out of san juan" in one of the replies someone attached a taxi fare sheet from the airport. This should help give you some ideas on fares. Have a great trip. We loved San Juan and all of the ports on our cruise.

We cruised on the Carnival Valor on June 1st. We stayed at this hotel for 2 days before and 1 day after. It is a clean and basic room. The staff were very helpful and most of the renovations appear to be done. Our main complaint was the irregularity of hot water. Taxi to the pier is around $19 and to go into Old San Juan $15. I think from the airport it was $23(includes $2 for 2 pieces of luggage). Taxi fares are calculated by zones and they can tell you the flat rate before you leave.

We just did a tout with Bernard's last Saturday. He really tries to not leave anybody behind. We ended up waiting almost thirty minutes for 2 people who never showed. It was almost 9:30 before we left. So I think you will have no problems. It was a great tour!

Just got back on Sunday from Carnival Valor. Out of all the ports St. Lucia was our least favorite. I agree it is not the place to try and drive around additionally we were the only ship in port and traffic was a mess several different places. Not to mention the roads leave a lot to be desired. If I return to this port I will either stay on the ship or do a boat trip to the Pitons.

yes, I believe you have hang it on your door by 11 the night before

loving your review so far, we leave on Friday for San Juan and then the Valor. Do you have any quick tips to help me out?

We were on the Freedom this past year and formal night was not on New Years Eve. It must depend on sea days/short or long port days. I had already planned for formal night on New Years Eve but it worked out ok. My husband forgot his shoes anyway. (told him not to mess with the suitcase after I packed it but he just had to)

Thanks for posting the pictures. I can sit here and dream about my cruise that is 65 days away. The category for this room is 6K. Can't wait!

. 1-877-225-7447. The caller must be able to provide the following information on the passenger(s) they are trying to contact:

· Cabin Number

I booked a 6K room on the Valor for June 2014 under Past Guest rate several months back. While looking at website today under the New Years sale I can get an 8A L-shaped room for almost $300 cheaper. I had an L-shaped room on the Breeze for a Med cruise and loved it. Can I switch from Past Guest to the sale without penalty and get the cheaper price? I love the idea of the 6K room just not sure if I love it $300 more.

no, to 2.0 however so have fish n chips and yes they had the cheers program. I did not use it but saw them signing people up for it.

We had booked a 4J handicapped 1003 on the Freedom. We booked it last August for the Dec. 28, 2013 cruise. The first week of December we got a call and they said they were bumping us as they needed the cabin. They offered an oceanview on deck 2. I really like the Panorama deck so I asked if we could be moved to an interior on the same deck. They moved us to an interior and refunded $50 since we were actually downgrading and this was the current price difference.

or it might be a coincidence. I cancelled a cruise the same day as the original poster and I got my refund today too.
