  1. We are on upcoming Joy cruise on January 8th.  We also purchased the basic $99 travel protection.  I understand NCL performs a Covid test during Embarkation.

I would like to know are we required to perform a Self-Administered Proctor test within 3 days before Embarkation in order for the travel protection benefits, just in case one of us is positive with Covid.  Does the travel protection work with or without Self covid test or is coverage voided?

Also, any other benefits and coverages for the travel protection related to Covid is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Paul

  2. Does windows VPN work on the ship.  It seemed like last time in October had trouble connecting to work VPN (windows always on).  I'll be on the Joy January 8th, wanting to see if anyone else had VPN luck before purchasing the upgraded package.

  3. A few questions regarding my own trip protection on bankruptcy.  I recently used my Chase Sapphire for 2 bookings using both $1,000 FCC and $2,500 on credit card Sapphire.

    1. Are future cruise payments (credit/cash secured) be refunded in case bankruptcy, are those payments secured since services are not rendered yet?

    2. Would my $1,000 FCC be wiped out 100% or $500 returned?

    3. If all else fails, would my Sapphire cover my $2,500 credit card payment (trip insurance) due to insolvency.

If bankruptcy does actually happen, I'd expect NCL to be back and probably honor my $1,000 FCC later in time to keep loyal customers.

    Thanks,

    Paul

Just bought this morning. 100 shares so I can get the obc when they start cruising again. If they go bankrupt, I'll lose under $1,000,  I can live with that risk. I also have 7 Cruise Next certificates, I can live with that loss too. I'm in a similar situation with Carnival. I don't want to live in a world where I cant cruise anymore, lol.

Like someone else posted, its a small cap stock in a risky environment, don't use money you need. If I had a million bucks would I put it in one of these stocks---not a chance. But I would put it in the stock market, any of the big tech companies, or other good quality companies. The economy is coming back. One day. If it doesn't, losing a few thousand bucks is the least of my worries.

If bankruptcy is filed would we lose our cruise next coupons, maybe they would allow us to redeem vouchers after BK re-org for customer loyalty and getting on cruises.  I did pay $500 cash my $1000 cruise next vouchers.

  5. Agreed FStuff, market ran up cruise stocks this week by 30%+ gains hoping for the best.  The no sail order is in effect for 100 days minimum and until this crises is over, which I am not sure how we plan to sail in fall if 2nd wave crises is predicted.   I am bummed and hope they all survive.
