  1. What would you like to know? I live in Aalesund. :D

I would suggest going to "Trollstien", the very narrow road with hairpin curves. If

If you want to stay in the city, I would take a hike up the 419 stairsteps to "Aksla". Very streneous, but lots of benches to rest on on the way up. Or grab a taxi up and walk the stairs down.

    Touristoffice: http://www.62.no/

Here you can find all sorts of things to do.

  2. I am going on my 5th Celebrity cruise in a couple of days. We started our very first cruise ever with an AQ due to a very good deal. After that, we have been in standard balcony. Except for our last Celebrity cruise, when we found out at embarkation that we had been upgraded from AQ guarantee to a Sky suite!:eek:

This time, I managed to get an free upgrade from 1B to CC due to a rather big price drop. This will be the first time in CC.

I would like to know what are your favourite cabin class? Which cabin class is best worth you money? It would be interesting to know how others think.

I am very, very, thankfull for the SkySuite I got, but I would never pay so much for a cabin, when I can go on 2-3 cruises instead. But I think balcony is money well spent. And if I get a good deal, I will not hesitate booking an AQ, but that is simply due to Blu. :p

(Pls excuse any mis-spellings; Im not native in english.) :p

  3. Last cruise the price dropped by 1/3 so we gladly cancelled, lost our deposit and rebooked. At embarking we found out we had been upgraded from AQ to Sky Suite S1! That was unreal! Thinking about the amount of money we "saved" on that, I dont really care if the price drops on my next cruise or not. Celebrity have already given me an experience I would never ever been able to afford. :)

  4. My hubby and I are going on a CC cruise this autumm. Although many cruises with CC, I still have a question. We have always bought our beverage package (BP) beforehand, so this has never been an issue before.

This time it is our first cruise with "Elite" status. Therefore, we want to try the cruise without BP this time.

Our cruise is 14 days. Is it possible to buy BP after as long as 7 days? Do we then pay for the rest 7 days of the cruise or the entire cruise?

We hope this is possible, as this allows us to buy BPs if we miss them.

Also, are cappuchinos and lattes offered in Elite Lounge at breakfast or only espressos? Also, I read in another thread that the Lounge maybe serves juices and smoothies. Is this common or rare?

I hope someone knows the answer to this.

  5. Ok, will think about that. Already have two bathrobes, but one is very heavy and the lightweight is screaming lightblue. Thanks for the idea! :)

I will hurry down to the store and see what they have. All stores are closing soon for easter...

  6. The great cruise critic forum, where all your questions get answered. Its amazing.

    However, I have not found the answer to this;

I am booked on Armonia on April 4th. Im in a Fantasia-cabin with does not include a bathrobe.

Does anyone know if it is possible to rent one? I like to use it to and from the hot tub in the afternoon, and I very much would prefer not bringing my own. Is it maybe possible to rent at the spa? Or if I buy a spa-pass, will I get a bathrobe aswell?

I hope someone knows the answer to this. I will probably survive the cruise anyway, but bathrobes would be nice. :p

  7. Hi Stef, and thank you for a wünderbar review! We are from Norway, sailing on with Armonia on April 4 th.

When is the first seating? Our TA put all us scandinavians up on the early seating, so I called MSC to change to later since we like to sit in the sun until it sets. Sounds a little bit alarming to hear about the two-hour dinner though. We usually eat in one hour. When is the early evening performance? I dont want to miss out on that.

We usually eat at eight, but we have only cruised with Celebrity before, in which my-time-dining is a choice for everyone, also the cheapest cabins. I have a feeling that we will be eating a lot in the buffe and maybe some specialty resturant this cruise. :(

The food is not an priority for us, the sun(set) is, too bad we dont seem to be able to get them both. :(

  8. I know it's meant to be just one drink at a time but is it possible to order freshly squeezed juice and an espresso at breakfast? I'd like both! ;-)

We had no problem ordering fresh sq. juice directly when arriving (before seating) to ocean view breakfast buffet and then ordering our daily cappucino from a waiter a few minutes later. (although we had not yet finishef the juice). Totally forgot about that rule. But I can not promise you it is consequently like this on all C. ships/itinearys. :) We both had beverage pkg. I think they are more strict when ordering alch. Beverages and if only one in the couple has a bev. pkg.

  9. After my first cruise many years ago I said I'd definitley buy a drinkpackage for my next cruise. I tend be a bit stingy and not buy exactly what I want and go with a cheaper alternative, and a package would be a great way to get around that.

I did not know it was SO expensive! I am not a heavy drinker, but I drink almost only champagne and cocktails so I thought a package would be convenient. But after doing the math's I realize I will drink no way near what the packages cost, even if I drink 4 glasses of champagne one day! ;)

I'll guess I need to have my BF reminding me not to be so stingy and buy me what I want instead... :D
