  1. I actually just called about this day before yesterday, as we are cruising in the Mediterranean in April.  I was told that there is free coffee and mineral water in the mdr.  Tap water is available in the buffet and the agent advised that I take a refillable water bottle, like she does.

  2. Splash wave tours was who did ours. It was a great deal of fun. It seemed that not many tours for the other snorkeling offered had the required number of people signed up so they were instead put in our group. Which was probably a good thing or we wouldn't have had enough people either. We had a small boat of people, maybe 20? And that was with the mixed groups.

How did you get in touch with them once you got into port? I am so glad you had a good time! We are scheduled with them in about two weeks. Any info would be appreciated.

  3. I recommend Way To Go Tours Belize, their tours are customizable to suit you, we have been using them for the past 4 years

Can you tell me a little bit about why you like them? How big was your group? Did they pick you up or did you take a water taxi? Do you recall the price? What were you able to customize? We are a pretty big group (11) and want to go out to Hol Chan and Shark/Ray Alley. What was your tour like?

    thanks in advance!!

  4. I am looking into excursions to Goff's Caye in January. The prices vary somewhat, as do the excursion times. I know that excursions include about an hour of travel time (20-30 mins each way), but I am wondering about "hidden" waiting time. I have emailed the companies directly -- some only have you on the island for two hours total, and some are longer. Can anyone who has gone on an excursion to Goff's Caye give me a rough estimate of how long you are on the atoll? We really want to have as much time as possible there. Thanks so much!

  5. Hello all -- first let me thank everyone who is so generous with their time on this forum. I really rely on the info that I get here before we go on a cruise. Part of the fun for me is obsessively researching and planning our trips. We are coming into Belize City on Carnival Splendor in January 2018. We have 11 in our party, and we love to snorkel (we have our own gear) which means that excursions can get really expensive. I am always looking for less expensive or DIY options. I was reading about taking the water taxi to Caye Caulker and snorkeling at The Split, but the last posting was about five years ago.

Has anyone gone there more recently? Is the water traffic awful? I really wonder how much I would be saving, given the price of the water taxi. I am thinking of doing Goff's Caye, but am worried about being shoulder-to-shoulder with other people. Anyone have thoughts? Thanks again!!

  6. We will be sailing on Sovereign out of Barcelona on May 31. We are English speaking Canadians & have sailed on this ship years ago when it was still with Royal Caribbean. Haven't booked any private tours yet and may end up doing shore excursions through the ship. ?

Hi! We are from California and will be traveling on May 31. Hope to meet up!
