  1. Our daughter just got engaged and thinks they would like a small family wedding on a cruise ship roundtrip to the Caribbean.  Our other daughter has 3 small children, ages 3, 8, and 10.  Also she, and our son-in-law, let their passports expire.  Is it still the policy that a US Passport is not required and that all they would need is an original birth certificate with the raised seal on it?  I hope the policy has not changed.  If it has, their cruise wedding is out.

    Thank you.

  2. My daughter is taking her 2 year old son on a cruise with us in July.  What is the difference between Baby Time and Baby Care?  Also, is it limited as to how much time your child can be in each setting?  Do you have to sign up in advance and are there only a limited amount of babies that can be taken at one time?  Thank you.

  3. Thank you Framboesa for your reply.  I still don't understand how you keep track of your points to get you from one category to the next.  Each sailing must be worth a certain amount of points and you need a certain amount of points to get to the next level.  How do you know how many points you have?

  4. Where on the MSC website can you see your cruise history?  We sailed on MSC for one cruise and I have another one booked.  I usually sail Celebrity and I can just go to the Captain's Club and click on my history and it will show all of the cruises I took and the dates I took them.  I would like to keep track of my sailings with MSC.  Thank you.

  5. Thank you so much for your replies. I feel much better now after reading them. I really want to go on that cruise but was so concerned that we would not be able to do any sightseeing or eat all day long.

Thanks again. People on Cruise Critic are the best and always so helpful.

  6. We are considering a cruise that ends in Dubai on May 4, 2019. We wanted to plan 2 days in Dubai and 2 days in Abu Dhabi after the cruise.

My daughter, who has a friend that lives in Dubai, said that we really wouldn't enjoy our stay at that time. She said that you aren't going to want to go to Dubai in May with the average temp around 100. It's also the start of Ramadan (starts 5/4/19) and it lasts an entire month and everything closes early. Also, fasting is from sunrise to sunset so it might be difficult to get food to eat if you are not fasting.

For those of you who live there, how limited will everything be from May 4th on? Thank you.

  7. I understand that Sept. 11 is a National Holiday in Spain and it will disrupt any touring in Barcelona that day.

We are staying at a hotel on LaRambla. With all the demonstrations going on that day, would it be better if we change our hotel to another area away from the center of the city?

There will be no Hop on Bus that day and most stores and places of interest will be closed for the day.

Any suggestions on what to do that day?

    Thank you.

  8. Thank you so much for replying to my post. I am so glad that I don't have to worry about finding an evening canal tour. We will be taking a walking tour prior to the canal tour and I don't know where the walking tour will end. Thanks to you, I now know that I can get on a canal cruise close to where the walking tour ends.

    Thanks again.

  9. I would like to take an evening canal tour in Amsterdam. I looked at TripAdvisor and found one that is 90 minutes but it does not give me the name of the company or their website. I would like to find out the exact address before I book any tours. I don't want to get lost walking around looking for the departure point.

Could anyone please recommend an evening canal tour without one that also serves dinner.

    Thank you.
