We were on the Reflection transATL and there was no Art Studio. The arts and crafts...watercolor classes was held in the MDR.

We were on the Reflection for a TA from Rome in Oct. There were way too many comedian shows for us but several others were great. Found the MDR menus not to our liking but the buffet on some nights was excellent.

Had a concierge class cabin on the Reflection TA in October. It was the first time and most likely the last unless the cruise price is Really worth it. We did not eat the afternoon treats. My one wish is if they would allow you to dine in Luminae.

Texas Caviar is a jar of a black eyed peas salad. Actually quite tasty. I am a South Carolinian but lived in Houston for 14 years. Substitution is better than nothing!

On our first cruise during New Years, we asked the Maitre D if we would be able to get black eyed peas and collards, etc. He said "No Madame, no eye black beans on the ship." We laughed but a couple on board had a jar of Texas Caviar and passed it around at dinner!!

We always board early for several reasons. First we eat very little for breakfast and want to have lunch around noon. Then, if the ship is new to us, it gives us the chance to get to know the layout of the decks so that the next day, sea day, perhaps, is spent doing fun, fun things!

We also disembarked on Nov. 3 from Reflection...no customs forms to fill out, walked straight through without any issues as this was a transATL from Rome!

I own a boutique and years ago the rules went out! Go to NYC in winter...white pants, jeans everywhere! White sandals too!

OK, we don't sail Princess so I must have missed that as we are Elite on Celebrity.

I am totally confused here. We are currently on the Reflection TA and the mini bar has a purchase list for all items. Nothing is free!!

@hashcroft: I never pay this much attention, because I don't drink alcohol, beer or coffee, and I buy the Soda Package. So the mini-bar is wasted on me, except I might take a can of soda or two from the fridge.
I think the bar was stocked with 2 miniature bottles of cognac, 2 of vodka, 2 of gin, 2 of scotch. I think 2 cans of beer and 2 cans of coke? Maybe some bottles of water.
My wife and I are both elite, so the two of everything might have been 2 set-ups instead of one setup.

No charge for breakfast on Oasis or Allure. I can't say, but I assume Anthem is the same.
What is the free breakfast?

Stop in town at the local grocery store to buy all the food and drinks, etc. then head to Cemetery Beach for a quiet and people free experience. This would be your ultimate Grand Cayman experience. We always go their for snorkeling.

We are considering a transatlantic cruise for the first time. When do the Spring 2019 trips get released for booking?
Anyone have great experiences on U.S. to Europe transatlantic trips. Our 2 week Panama Canal cruise was one of our favorites.
We have done three and the ships leave mid to late April. Loved every one of the!

I have been Platinum for several or more years and every P & D party, my husband walked right in with me....no questions, no problem.

Back to the original post! Things we avoid on the buffets are the scrambled eggs at breakfast and bacon...very greasy. I order a fried egg at the omelet station. At lunch, we avoid any entrees that are swimming in sauces, cream or other wise. Usually avoid the breads as I have seen people pick up a roll, look at it then put it back. We generally enjoy the grill food.

I never use the sign and sale care for casino gambling. They will charge about a 5% fee for this transaction. I only use cash in casinos.

We have sailed out of Charleston many, many times and on Ecstasy. The port is not "friendly" to park...quite an ordeal to finally get to the ship. We always get the Internet package for the five day cruise as it is cheaper. Elegant night will be the first sea day night. My son cruises with us once a year and never minds wearing a tie. Yes, lemonade is free. We will be on Ecstasy in February...the ship was refit last year. Have a great cruise!

No, don't NOT go to Seven Mile Beach. There are several places up the beach that are not part of beac excursions. The Cemetery Beach is great! Take a bus from town and ask to be let off there. Also, some restaurants can pack a lunch for you to take. We go every two years since 1988 and stay up the beach so know the island very well. Enjoy.

I am a poor swimmer. When we are in Cayman, I take a water ski belt and it is perfect! We snorkel at Eden Rock and I can easily get out a bit further.

Been platinum for several years. Yes, getting on early is nice but priority tendering was a joke. Never used laundry on Carnival but on other lines some items were never returned! We now photo all items sent out. Wish they would give us more drink perks though.
