  1. The dress code is pretty much the same as the evening's dress code. That said, most people dress up a little more for the Chef's Table. I mentioned it in a post that I replied to just a few minutes ago, but I will repeat here - ladies should not wear spiked heels. Some areas of the kitchen during the pre-dinner tour have commercial flooring that is not heel-friendly ;)

We were told closed toe shoes and no heels. The kitchen floor is slippery. I wore sneakers with dress pants. I was glad I did. All other women showed up in heels. Lol. Nobody fell or slipped but I that floor is slippery.

  2. Just off the Sunshine and every time our cabin was cleaned we came back to a freezing room. My husband liked it. A/C was on high. I turned it down two notches and it was perfect for me. We learned quickly if you prop the door open the a/c shuts off and the mirrors fog from humidity. Lol.

  3. I wish I could upload larger images. If you message me and give an email address I can dropbox to you larger images and video. It's hard to tell but in image 7, there's about a 2-foot gap from the top of the divider door to the top of the ship. I don't remember exactly, but I think on the Carnival Dream the doors are different and that gap isn't there. But I could be wrong. I say that because when you're on your balcony, you can hear, clearly, the conversation your neighbors are having on their balcony. I've never heard that on any other cruise. But I could also hear the man one deck below us, too. Maybe it depends on how loud they are. Again, not sure if it's the gap in the door, but we didn't have loud, partying neighbors, so it didn't bother us at all. Plus, we spent most of our time on the aft portion of the balcony. Other than that, it was a very quiet cabin. Oh, also, at night, the light from underneath your cabin door shines into the room so if you want it completely dark, just roll up a towel and put it at the foot of the door and you're all set. Having this aft cabin on deck 7 is a convenient location, at least it was for us. Take the first set of elevators nearest you, up two floors to deck 9, walk off the elevators and you have The Lido Marketplace Buffet, Ji Ji/Cucina/Havana Bar, which serves omelettes for breakfast. Most everything we did was aft, so we liked it. Not sure if you have been on the Sunshine before, so I'm not sure what you already know. If you have any questions at all, I'll be happy to answer if I can.

  4. Has anyone stayed in 7325 on Carnival Sunshine? How was the size and temperature? Was it a quiet cabin? Any information would be great as I cant find ANYTHING!

We just got off our sunshine cruise...cabin 7325 and I have photos and video. I took them because I couldn't find anything before we sailed either. If you haven't sailed yet, I'll post them. Let me know.

  5. We are doing the single digit dance as well. I will not be sitting at my kitchen table next Saturday morning. We will be heading to the Carnival Sunshine, Elite cruise. So excited

We are waiting to board the Sunshine right now. I'm excited for you.

  6. Hi,

For the first time.. I've book an aft extended balcony. The more I think about it.. the more I'm concerned that the view won't really that great.. like.. when we pull into or out of port, etc. Am I over thinking this? Anyone have any experience with these types of rooms? Oh, and sounds like I decided on a good floor :D

We booked our first aft wrap premium vista balcony. I'm sure it will be great. Something different, that's for certain. Enjoy!

  7. Thinking about doing the Pacific NCL from Vancouver. My wife has never been to San Francisco, and I've always wanted to go to Canada.

I would LOVE to do that trip because of San Francisco. My most favorite city!

  8. Question: I'm Platinum. Therefore once I board, I am able to go to my cabin and drop off carry on. Would it be wrong to escort my fellow travelers to bring their carry-on to my cabin prior to being allowed in theirs?

I did this once before, but it was only one other party. Looking at cruising with 4-5 parties in the near future, none are platinum.

Lets keep the answers civil please.

I'm not platinum and I wouldn't be upset because it doesn't affect my enjoyment or cruising experience. In fact, take my bag too. Lol. Just kidding.

  9. You can add people online when you do your online check-in. I had four other people listed for our daughter. It's much easier to do everything online than deal with the paperwork when you get there. I believe they have made some changes since last year. When we went last March, I was able to do most things online, but there were still a couple papers I had to print and turn in. This year, I did everything online, no paperwork at all.

Sweet! I didn't know that you could do it online. Back in Jan we still had to print it. Thx.

  10. Hey all!

I am so sorry, I have asked a million questions since I found this forum, and I'll probably ask hundreds more. You guys are such a great info source!

I am wondering about adding extra adults to the list of who can sign my DDs in and out of Camp Carnival. Is there a limit to the number of people? Or can you have all the adults in your party on the list?

We are sailing with extended family, and would love to be able to have whoever happens to be going that way drop the girls off or pick them up. We'll have both grandmas, a grandpa, a great-grandma, an aunt... you get the picture, lots of caring adults.

I added my parents to the form so they could sign our boys out. If you've paid the balance on your cruise the camp carnival paperwork should be in your documents and you can print it and fill it out and bring it with you. Saves time signing them up when you get there.
