Philippines call center lady just now verified my loyalty level and then offered me Internet at the 50% off price.  She said the app listed me as a first time Princess (white level) cruiser.  Go figure.  She said she would send a request to fix the (screwed up - my words) Princess app.

Next Princess cruise bought directly from the Princess web site.  Maybe was a bad decision.

On the Princess app, next to my photo it shows a white Medallion and when I try to purchase Internet before the cruise I don't get a discount.  I'm not white, I'm black (at least in the actual Princess records).  Now what?

You can look on the App, click lower right on your profile picture.  On that pic is a medallion.  It should reflect the right color.  I’m elite, so it should be black with a white sea witch.  
Also, you should see your 50% discount stated on the internet page, where you would purchase it.

It shows a white medallion.  Now the question is how to change it to black?

Loyalty status shows correctly on the web site but I can't find it showing anywhere on the app.  I hesitate to call PCL because of the language barrier in talking with the Philippines.  I sent a query to customer relations based on your good advice and await their reply.

I am Elite and then some.  I purchased the Single device on the Princess app for a November 2024 cruise.  My credit card was charged the full $25 per day.  Maybe Princess is hoping that I won't notice that they owe me a 50% off OBC.  

Just ask the Philippine Princess call center answer person  who can barely speak English that you must speak with someone who speaks American English and is actually located in the United States.  The call answer person will then put you on hold.  Then after a wait, the call will be taken by a person who speaks fair American English who is located, get this, in the Philippines.

We've never seen servers on the beach.

Check with the passenger services desk.  I'm sure the private trinket vendors take cash.

Yes you can bring your big Princess sun bathing towel from the ship.

10. Thinking of probably renting umbrella or shade shell to be assured of having shade - important to rent before sailing because they run out?

We rented a shade shell on the island.  They had plenty.

A credit card and some cash just in case.

Caribbean Princess goes out of service between Oct 20, 2024 and Nov 10, 2024.  Presumably for a refresh..  The only annoyance for us was the motor vibration we felt aft on Deck 15, the location of the World Fresh Marketplace aka Horizon Court.

Do a google search on the title.  Quick summary:  Main dining reservations that already have been made for voyages sailing September 14 and beyond for any ship except Sun Princess will be cancelled. Main dining reservations for guests sailing through September 13 will not be affected. Why?  Because Princess will designate separate dining rooms aboard every ship in the fleet to the three table service options – one dedicated to traditional dining offering an early and a late seating every evening; one offering reservable dining times; and a third with open seating to support walk-ins anytime.

The answer is no from what I've been told.  When Princess receives full payment for Princess insurance coverage that's when new condition coverage begins.

After have good luck in years past, last year was different.  That's when I almost got really burned.  Don't know how it happened.  Maybe it was picking seats.  Maybe it was early ticketing.  I do know, with 100% certainty, that the fare was "Flexible."  To straighten things out I had to send a certified letter to the Princess president to plead my case.  My letter finally resulted in Princess straightening out the mess. What I thought at the time and still do, is Princess needs to post, in bold print, the financial danger of picking seats as well as the danger of early booking.

Now I'm once again, maybe stupidly, looking at EZAir with United. But there is a big problem.  EZAir is more expensive than booking directly with United in both Economy and Economy Plus.  In First class, even though EZAir is ever so slightly cheaper than United, the actual flight schedule detail on EZAir is different.  The reason is that the United website updated the schedule overnight while EZAir did not.. 

Repeating to myself "Do not use Princess EZAir."

Thanks for the look at the coffee menu.  If prices stay the same that will work for us.

Thanks.  Based on what has been mentioned above we just booked the Grand for 33 days, embarking on Oct 31 out of LA.  Port stops in Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, French Polynesia and then slow boating back to LA.  Our first voyage on the Grand was 24 years ago.

You can take turns.  You log on with your device. When done, log off your device and log on DW's device.  Or simply log on with DW's device and the Princess system will automatically boot your device.

Can an Elite mini-bar be traded in for a brewed coffee (card) credit on a 33 day Princess cruise?

Already asked in the latest on board roll call.  So far - silence.  This thread however has been very informative.
