  1. We are going on the Catherine on April 15, 2018. There will be about 35 cabins of US Naval Academy grads, class of ‘65 (us included) on board. Wondering if any other “boat school” folks, or anyone from the dance world (that’s me, not hubby) on this cruise. First ever river cruise for us and we’re very excited. Normally cruise Oceania, Regent or Viking Ocean. Will this be similar?

  2. I am with the majority of replies that say, "wear what you want!"

    1. Based on the combinations of people and wardrobes I have seen on cruise ships, there is no way your arms/clothing are going to make the Top 500 of gawk-worthy outfits.

    2. What other people think of you is none of your business.

    3. When you are comfortable and feel good in your clothing, you look good no matter what. Attitude, not the clothes, makes the girl.

I am 70 and we cruise quite a bit: Oceania, Regent, Viking Ocean, etc. For two years, I had to take prednisone which caused weight gain. When I lost the weight, I was left with flabby skin under my upper arms. I no longer wear sleeveless or short sleeves, but do wear "sheer" shirts and tunics with tanks under that keep me cool and hide the flab. I want to like what I see when I look in the mirror, and I want my husband to like it, too. As for the mini skirts, five inch heels, and other fashion statements meant for millenials, you don't have to be drab and dowdy when older, but classy rather than trashy should be the goal.
