thanks for the review.
Sailed MSC Meraviglia inJanuary. Enjoyed the cruise but with only about 500 passengers on board did not get full experience. Limited shows, etc.
crew and service was great. Sailing 4 days on the Divinia inSept and really looking forward to it.

It has been quite a few years since we sailed NCL but loved Le Bistro. The mussel appetizer was great. I hope that they still offer it.

Almost back to Galveston. I am sure those of you waiting are anxious but rest assured we have left the ship in good shape for your arrival:)
It was a really nice cruise. Although, most of yesterday it rained. I did love the covered deck. As soon as it looked like rain, they closed the retractable roof and we just carried on as if it wasn't raining. Nice option.
Had the FTTF option and glad I did. It should also help get us off faster with the delay and all.
If you are going on this cruise soon have fun.

I leave on the Triumph Thursday which is great. I just realized the time changes during my cruise and I lose an hour of my cruise:eek:
Guess I will need to take another cruise when the time changees back:cool:

Hope all that have been waiting enjoy the cruise. My sister and I leave next Weds on the Triumph. I hope all this nasty fog is gone by then. Losing a day on a 4 day cruise is a lot!

My favorite treat is a choc croissant. Anyone know if they have them?

I booked a 4 day on the Triumph out of Galveston for March just a few weeks ago. The FTTF was sold out. I purchased on the last cruise and really did like it. I checked every day just in case, and today it was available so I grabbed it.
Morale of the story, keep checking back..... :)

Thanks so much for the quick reply and good info. I have not booked yet.

Last year we purchased the FTTF option on Carnival. I am looking at a short cruise next month and I can't find any options to purchase.
Any info would be appreciated.

I had an unfortunate experience with Grand Circle about 7 years ago. That is why I am not sailing with them this year. We had a 3 day Paris pre-cruise then a rhone cruise. It was the pre-cruise that caused the problems. We arranged our own air, and arrived from the airport at the hotel selected by GC. We were told by the hotel, that there was a change in plans and they would arrange a taxi to take us to another hotel. When asked what hotel, suddenly no one spoke english. They put us in the cab and the driver took off. After a little while we were on a highway leaving the city?? It asked the driver who really did not speak much english where we were going. He turned and said, "bye-bye" Paris. I broke out in tears from the long flight and lack of sleep, etc.
After a while we arrived at the new hotel, Euro Disney. What, I just flew all night to spend my days in Paris in a fake New England Sea Side cottage? Not how I dreamed of my time in Paris.
GC arranged bus transfers into the City each day, but it really cut down on the amount of things we could see and do. Comped us a few meals.
I have to say the cruise portion was great. But this experience was not one I wish to repeat.

Thank you so much for the great review. I was considering which river cruise company to book for May 2013.
Based on your xcellent review I plan to choose Viking.
