I have scanned the topic...and did not see Celebrity Silhouette addressed. The deck plan makes it look like the mens changing room by the gym is pretty small. Anyone know what the facilities are? I will be departing in a week!

I received this bit of advice from a gay couple who have sailed on Celebrity before: "...the (LGBT) happy hours are usually around 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Again, on the first night look in the newsletter. If you don't see it, go to the concierge desk and look for a 'groups' board where they have the listing."

Update: I have connected with three other gay men who will be on this cruise! I understand Celebrity schedules one or more LGBT gathering in the Martini bar - but not sure how they communicate that on board. Anyone know what they do?

Hello! We just signed up for this cruise (first time on Celebrity) and hope to meet new friends! We are US expatriates now living in London. Cheers! - Bill and Mark

Hi, Mark and Bill here from San Francisco, bringing our son, Sam (15). This is our 4th sailing with Princess and have always had a great time and found the LGBT gatherings each evening are well attended (they are listed in the Princess Patter - the ship's daily schedule). We hope to see you on board!

The main Roll Call for this cruise is pretty active. There is at least one other gay couple from SF on this cruise. My experience with Princess is we might get a dozen folks to the LGBT get togethers on board. If you are sailing with us, say hi!

I just stumbled upon this thread...and saw that the awesome Shepp posted. We met at a LGBT event on board a Princess cruise to Alaska - I hope to run into you again!
Well... there will be at least two gay couples on the Grand Princess cruise from SF to Mexico departing December 20th. We are considering scheduling a pre-sail get together on December 5th in SF.
I posted on the GL Roll Call and have gotten quite a few "views" but no replies. The main Roll Call is quite active and it looks like we are getting a pretty vivacious group of folks on this cruise!

The problem with this saunas is that they are in the pool area, men's in one corner and women's on the opposite corner. When someone opens the door of either sauna, people (including kids, even thou it supposed to be adult area only) at the pool or from some chaise lounges can see inside the sauna. And it's not easy to identify which is men's and which is women's. Yes women walk in the men's sauna and men walk in the woman's sauna all the time.
We will be on the Grand Princess departing San Francisco 12/20 and it looks to me like this ship also has the saunas and steam room in the pool area. I prefer to hang out in the adult area (when I am not taking care of our kids) so hopefully it is a bit quieter. So any recommendations anyone has on proper etiquette would be much appreciated!

We have been on two cruises with Princess. On both cruises several LGBT gatherings were listed in the daily newsletter, usually at 5 pm and was hosted by a member of the crew. The trick is to bring something recognizable (such as a small rainbow flag) so anyone interested can spot the group easily. Once everyone was connected and introduced themselves the gatherings were quite friendly. Folks would schedule dinners together, time at the nightclub, bingo, hot-tubbing etc. depending on interests. We are sailing on the Grand Princess December 20th from San Francisco, and we are certainly looking forward meeting up. - Bill

Hello!
We are two dads from San Francisco and we will be sailing with our two kids. We would enjoy meeting other LGBT passengers! We have had good luck with Princess and their LGBT gatherings on our previous cruises.
