  1. I know its about a month past my wedding day but since I spent SO much time on here reading everyone's reviews I figured I should make one to help the next set of cruise brides out.

I planned my cruise wedding 7 months in advance.. I did the Deluxe Romance Package.. I had 50 non sailing guests..

The cruise went out of Tampa, FL & it just so happens we all live in the Tampa area so we had no flights to book or anything like that which was great since this year we had an unusual winter..

The day of my wedding was a Sunday, I woke up at 5am to be at my mothers by 6am to get our hair and makeup done..

WELL, let me back track.... The night before my wedding, Carnival called and told me that the wedding would be delayed due to fog, but they could not give me a time because they were uncertain. I was suppose to be there at 10, the told me don't bother showing up till at-least 1...

OKAY, so back to hair and makeup... The girls did a great job, they were there at 6 & were out by 9.. Well then we go pick up my groom since we have NOTHING better to do for 3 more hours...

Needless to say on your wedding day you're already uneasy so this didn't help.. We ended up showing up to port of Tampa around 11:00a.m... We did the check in process and to our surprise we already had guests just as anxious as us!!

Well we sat around, and sat..... & sat...... till about 2:00, then they moved us into another room... where we sat....... for about 30 mins..

FINALLY we all get on the boat, I booked and ocean suites (definitely the way to go!)

My mother and cousin came with me to get ready.. We were told we had 45 mins to get ready.. We didn't, we had maybe 25.. but not a big deal, my makeup & hair was done, it was just my beastly dress that gave us hell..

Off my mom and cousin went at 3:00p.m. to head to the fire-bird lounge...

3:10 I was in the lobby awaiting for my dad & to get this show on the road.. my photographer Augus, snapped some pictures...

I walk down the isle, we kiss, its done!

Well we did some pictures in there, and we had our brother and sister sign our marriage license... after that we headed to Medusa's lair..

Please new brides keep in mind, keep everything as short as you can. We did NO dances, No toasts, No introduction except for us, & I still did not have enough time to talk to everyone there.. We of coarse did the cake cutting and champagne..

The food was AMAZING!! Everyone was full from the lido buffet except for me because I didn't have time to go and eat, but what I ate at the reception was amazing.. When they say open bar, they mean it.. I had 4 bartenders and the entire bar was open, there were no limitations on what you could order or how much :) I had a DJ, I requested to play the top 40s, well my dad decided he wanted Michael Jackson instead so the DJ switched it over but I honestly didn't even notice until the end and I just found it comical that my wedding was turning into a disco.

any way, the 1 1/2 hours came by entirely to fast. My family was quickly escorted off quickly since it was already past 4 and the boat should of already taken off, but since fog we didn't end up taking off until 7...

Anyway, Augus took us to take some pictures inside but then it was Muster drill time and yes even all dressed up there are NO exceptions...

After the drill, we met back up with Augus to take more photos.. By then, it was 5:30 and it was time for dinner.. Everyone clapped and cheered when we entered and left.. & of coarse walking around the ship we counted 168 congrats from 5:30-9:00 hahaha..

I am not really sure what else to add in here.. I know I didn't make this very detailed but if you have any specific questions, feel free to email me, skachik45@aol.com

ohhhhh the pictures, we ended up with the photo book that everyone says is SO expensive.. We brought the piece of paper with the different package options and he said that was not a valid thing on our ship he gave us 3 options..

package A was 30 large pictures of our choice, 20 small ones of our choice and a 20 page photo book and 2 canvas the price was $1400 I believe, possibly $1700. it also came with a cd of the purchased prints and DVD slide show

package B was 50 big prints 30 small 3 canvas a 30 page photo book 2 CDs of every print paid for or not and 2 DVDs and that was $2100

the last option was to buy individual.. and large pictures were 20$ smalls were 11$

So yea, we just bought package A.. You can customize the photo book how every you want, we left it how it was but we could of swapped everything out if we wanted. Augus gave us everything the last night of the cruise, so we were able to walk off the ship with all of our wedding pictures :)

Our honeymoon cruise was great, I suggest buying the cheers package if you drink at all!! They told us to buy it the first day at sea so you don't pay sales tax so for 650$ we were drinking free all week! & we defiantly got our money worth!!!

That should give you a link to my pictures that we purchased..

  2. In less then 1 month, my fiance & I will be doing a deluxe romance package on Carnival Legend. We have 50 non sailing guest & just us as sailing.

I am a bit of a control freak and the idea of not knowing is awful..

I have SO many questions and I can't find any new boards that have my answers so I decided to make my own thread.. Keep in mind my wedding coordinator isn't the best. She never contacts me back. In fact, I had to call 3 times just to make my final payment..

1.) Does anyone have any recent pictures of their deluxe wedding package?

I have booked the DJ so I know I will be in Medusa's Lair for the reception but I have no idea what to expect for my ceremony.

2.) The pictures.. I hear SO many mixed reviews about the photography service. My main question is.. Do you pay with your sail & sign card or should I bring cash, or a check, or a credit card??

3.) Has anyone ever not had ample amount of time to get ready? I have read like 2 threads where the bride had 10 mins to get ready.. I have a very fancy, corset back dress that takes 20 mins to lace at best.

4.) The lido buffet for when the guest get on, what if they want a drink like a beer or something?? How does that work I don't think they take cash.

5.) Is the food in the reception good?

6.) What kind of drinks do they serve during the reception?

  3. So this is my 6th Carnival Cruise & my Fiance's first.

My dad got married on Carnival Dream a couple years back and it was beautiful!

So naturally when I got engaged I decided F paying 20,000 for a wedding, I wanna get married on Carnival!

Well planning a wedding v.s. showing up to a wedding is ALOT different.

has anyone been married on carnival recently with the deluxe romance package to kind of give me an idea of how it all goes down?

i.e. pictures, lido buffet, how long I have to get ready, the DJ, the open bare & food?????
