  1. I just bought the deluxe beverage package for all my adult children (4) and the non-alcoholic package for the three grandchildren (13, 14, 15) for our July cruise to Nova Scotia on the Liberty of the Seas. My question is … will I have to pay gratuities every time we get a drink? If the answer is NO, I won’t be charged at the end of the cruise for gratuities for all the drinks, will I? I know there is a general gratuity for each person in each stateroom per day. Thanks. I’m trying to finalize my cruise budget!

  2. I’ll be going on the Liberty of the Seas this summer. I just purchased the Deluxe Beverage Package for the adults. There will be four grandchildren, 13 to 16. They will want lattes and Frappuccino drinks as well as soda, juice, and bottled water. Is there a package that would include that for their age. Thanks!

  3. I’m taking my first cruise on Norwegian, and I am wondering how the dining works. On my other cruises I have had a set dining time and I know Norwegian doesn’t do that. Do I make reservations, or do I just show up? Do I get assigned a certain dinner g room? We are a party of three.  Thanks!

  4. DH and I are planning an Eastern Caribbean in Feb. 2019 and have a few Questions about Allure. Is there a promenade deck? Looked on YouTube and saw a Starbucks and Johnny Rockets. I’m guessing there is a charge at those locations, but are there other Hamburg/Hot Dog locations and coffee locations that are free .... would that be correct?

  5. I'm hoping someone will tell me if I am understanding this correctly ..... I was taken to the medical center on board the Ruby Princess and this was charged to our account which we paid with card on file. Then I was taken by ambulance to hospital ER, where they did a CT-scan. The ER visit was paid for with a credit card. So now I'm home and I am submitting to Medicare (who will deny claim) then submit to secondary insurance. What they DON'T pay, my ship insurance (which is LeisureCare/Transamerica) will pay?

  6. We'll be on the Ruby for the Alaska sailing on September 9th out of Seattle. On the last night of the cruise the ship stops at 7pm in Victoria, BC. We don't really want to take an excursion at that hour, so we are wondering if there would be the possibility to just get off the ship and walk around to see the city. Or, would we be better off taking one of the suggested tours. thanks

  7. We are looking at the Sapphire European Explorer cruise in October 2018. I'm not sure if this is the right board to ask this question, but I'm wondering how far it is from where the ship docks to the Normandy Beaches and American Cemetery excursion. It looks like over a 2-hour bus ride each way. If this was an excursion on a River cruise, would the trip be shorter? I don't know if my husband can comfortably handle that long of a bus trip (motion sickness issues). Thanks.

  8. We are interested in a cruise that includes an excursion to Normandy (possibly the 10-day cruise on the Sapphire departing from Southhampton and ending in Rome). My question is do you get to see enough of the beaches and cemetery at this stop. We love Princess, but we are wondering if we would be better off taking a river cruise to get the most out of Normandy. We've never done a river cruise!

  9. There are so many excursions for each port that my husband and I are totally confused. Hoping for some recommendations for our September 9 cruise RT from Seattle. Our stops are Juneau. Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria, British Columbia. We are in our 70s and can do some walking, but wouldn't want anything strenuous! Definitely no zip lining or whale watching type excursions. I see several choices on the website, but I'm hoping for some info from passengers who have done these excursions. Thanks so much!

  10. Can someone recommend a hotel near pier 91 in Seattle. We'll be taking our first cruise to Alaska and have never been to Seattle. The ship is Ruby Princess and our cruise goes out on September 9th. Also, how far is the airport from the pier? Our flight is at noon on the day we disembark. Thanks for your help!

  11. We find we have a conflict with the date of our cruise this summer/fall (sailing out of Seattle). We have to change our cruise from Sept. 2nd to either August 26th or September 16th. Can someone give us advice about which week might be better. We've never been to Alaska. Thanks.

  12. We are doing the Alaska cruise round trip from Seattle this September. I don't know anything about the area. I'm trying to figure my return flight from Seattle to Boston. Can someone give me an idea of how early I can get a flight once we debark from the ship. The cruise ship is the Ruby. Thanks.

  13. We have a cruise (a mini-suite) booked in September for Alaska aboard the Ruby Princess. We need to change that and the only mini-suites available for the date we are looking for (Aug. 16th) are Forward and Aft. We always book midship to avoid too much motion. What is motion like in Forward and Aft and is one area better than the other? Thanks!
