  1. The water is fairly shallow all around the Oasis, like waist deep to an adult. I found that the lifeguard is mostly running off people who want to hang around the area but they are there on duty if needed. The hot tub and clamshells are really nice but the area around the bar is really nice. You will sooooooo enjoy the Oasis.

  2. Well you know the saying on Carnival "We have rules but we don't enforce them." You could cover the 18 and just walk in a bunch to the Oasis and hope there is no "enforcer". With 18 people you have more than paid for the whole deal but who knows with Carnival. My only concern would be getting them on the first tender - we always had a bracelet or something to ID us as first tender people. If you are Faster to the Fun you are on the first tender already. Sounds like you have a huge crowd going - Keep those drinks coming and enjoy the Oasis! :D

  3. Have done the Oasis twice before. Absolutely loved it! You didn't say how many people were included just talked about the three kids. They do count kids in the number up to the limit then the additional over that are extra. The first time we had the Oasis it was a group of adults only that were from the Roll Call. The second time was also from the Roll Call but was a family that wanted to off set the cost by offering to include others. Both times it was a great time. You have an open bar for the entire day and more food than you can eat. The BBQ lunch is prepared by your own chef and clean up is also provided by ship staff. If you ever wanted to be pampered like the "Rich n Famous" this is the trip to book. Not sure how much we tipped since we took up a collection but I think it was like 15 to 20% of the cost. There were at least a half dozen employees in the Oasis during our time there.

So does this mean this will be happening Friday night on the Oct 26th cruise as well?

  5. Does anyone know if the Ultra casino cruise for carnival has any other perks besides priority boarding?

It has everything a Premier has but more money in prizes. I've read they invite less people as well (so casino isn't as crowded! At least that's what I'm hoping!)

Last year they did only one Ultra Cruise but this year there is 3.

There are people on that other website for the Carnival Magic Ultra cruise with more info.

  6. Two summers ago I broke my knee right before a cruise. We rented a wheelchair and got to the port around 11 AM. There was plenty of space up front by the terminal to park and once inside I got the royal treatment. They had one of the crew there to take me up the ramp (hubby was carrying a carry on-LOL). I was up that ramp so fast it was almost embarrassing...people were moving out of the way so quickly. My husband tipped him $20 bucks and at the end of the cruise he was there waiting to find me to disembark!! ;)

  7. I booked today morning Ultra cruise....Does anyone know what perks this cruise includes? (except free cruise + cash that I already got :) )

My husband and I got the offer today as well.

We both got them on our Carnival website and this afternoon received the email offers.

He got casino cash and 40% off a cruise and I got free interior but no cash :(

We booked the Magic and are SUPER excited to go.

We would like to know as well what the perks are beyond a Premier cruise.

  8. Might have what you're looking for - keeping my fingers crossed that I made the correct entries and the links work.

    Go to: http://maturecruisers.wordpress.com

Click on the cruise named "12th - Pride June 2015" in the right hand column.

Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll try to fix the problem.

Email: pmartin @ twcny.rr.com (leaving out the spaces, of course) :D

I was looking at your Funtimes copies and I don't see where the brunch and breakfast times are  Am I missing them or not looking in the right place?

I was wondering how long they serve breakfast in the dining room on port days. Would you know?

    PS Enjoyed your review! :)

  9. When we went in March/April they had some of the old and some new ones.

What I didn't like was they moved the video poker slots from the back wall to the front walkway. They put the slot tourney machines on the back wall.

They also made the non smoking table games on the opposite side from the bar. That is a good thing. They moved the craps table at the end of the table games instead of over in the corner.

It was a premier cruise and there were so many gamblers (had to "fight" for a machine) that it wasn't a lot of fun. :(

  10. Get the popcorn ready!

The Chef's Table-EVERYONE raves about the Chef's Table but I don't get it!

I enjoyed the talk about the kitchen and learning about all the work they do to get out food for 2000 every night.

The chef was very pleasant and friendly, but that is all I have to say good about it!

The price was $75 and the food had to be put on plates with tweezers. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food so I left STARVING!! Plus we had two drunk women that kept flirting with the Chef while the servers kept pouring them more wine as the vaped away on their electronic cigarettes!!!!

Not what I was expecting at all!! Will never do that again! :(

  11. Nice!

What info did u include in your e-mail?

This is one I "stole" off the internet! ;)

    Here is all I wrote:

  12. Anyone have experience receiving bounceback offers (i.e., free cruise after earning 5,000 points) on Casino Premier cruises?

I know I usually don't get bounceback offers (in general, not just on Premier cruises) because I have another cruise booked, but I'm going on a Premier cruise next week and I don't have another booked, for once. Whether there's an offer for a free cruise may determine whether I get up to 5,000 points.

My husband and I each received a "bounceback offer" on our last premier cruise-last March on the Pride.

However I did have 13,000+ points!

  13. oh I know FFS

Why is there so much anger toward gamblers?

I would gamble even without the "comps". But just because we get FREE cruises (which just means the money I would pay for the cruise I spend in the casino!), comped dinners in the steakhouse, free wine, invited on the Premier Cruises where we win prizes ($$), goodies delivered to our room AND the FREE drink card upon embarkation...why is there so much animosity?

    You too can gamble! :)
