  1. We just made a last minute booking to sail on the Seashore this Sat 4/23 in a YC cabin. We enjoy hanging out on the cabin balcony and enjoying wine in the evening. From a search on this forum, I was not clear whether YC provides just one bottle of wine in the cabin for the entire voyage, or whether it is replenished daily. If the former, can you get drinks "to go" from the bar and bring back to the cabin? Thanks in advance for any advice.

  2. We are planning to travel on Edge in a Retreat cabin which provides the premium beverage package. My understanding is the package includes wine by the glass, but not bottles. So at dinner in the restaurant can you order glasses of wine to avoid the additional cost that would be incurred by ordering a bottle? Also, can you order wine by the glass to be delivered to the cabin?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  3. Thanks to all for the comments. Based on this advice, my plan is to buy advance tickets for the train (save $) planning to depart Southampton Central around 10:30. This will give us a non-rushed morning on the ship and then get to our hotel in London in time for lunch somewhere!!

  4. I've read a number of threads with posters wondering how early they can disembark. But in our case we will be going to London where our hotel room may not be available until early afternoon, so I am thinking that it might make sense to just stay on board until the last phase of disembarkation. I know we must vacate the cabin early, but why not just have a non-rushed breakfast and then exit at leisure. Am I missing anything? Thanks in advance for any comments.

  5. We have been on QM2 transatlantic before, but this is the first time we have booked a transatlantic in Queens Grill grade stateroom. Excited about the dining options!

Question: we have booked a table for two, are there preferred tables that we should request? If so, how to request? If we are not pleased with our assigned table, what are the prospects of changing to something we prefer once on board?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

  6. Deck - 12

    Cabin # - 2116

    Class – S2

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Generally, but occassional noise from the "cafeteria" above. It was generally not a bother, but if someone is extremely sensitive to noise it could be an issue. It became less obtrusive after the first night.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No obstructions, just the overhang from above, which we knew about in advance.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal.

    Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? Beautiful cabin with much storage.

Any other comments? I would book this cabin again.
