  1. Good morning all, just wondering with all these new changes for embarkation (Green Lane Blue Lane etc.) does the priority line for Elite/Suite guests still exist? Or do we have to go with everyone else? And if this is the case is there still a priority lounge at the pier?

Also does anyone with the Plus and Premium Package get priority embarkation as well?

This is new so maybe answers will come in later.

Thanks for your answers. Have a great day and happy cruising.

  2. Good morning all, sailing on MSC Divina on her trans-Atlantic cruise on May 15.

Would like to know the following:

Is coffee/tea/hot water and ice tea available 24/7 in the buffet restaurant?

If not where can I get them late at night or in the wee hours of the morning?

Will there be a hot water kettle in the cabin and if not can I request one from cabin steward?

    Thank you for your replies.

    Have a good day.

  3. Hello all, I have two questions regarding Internet access on board MSC Divina.

The first question is regarding internet speed. I am sailing from Miami to Genoa. How is the speed going across the Atlantic? Are there any bad spots along the way?

Secondly, this is in regards to the cost of the Internet Package.

I am looking at purchasing the Browse and Stream Package. The price quoted is CDN$325.85 for one device for the 19 night cruise. As I understand it this is the price with the 20% discount factored in. Is this correct?  There is nowhere on the site that shows you the per diem price for an Internet Package.

Also as a Voyager Diamond member there is a further 10% discount for Internet Packages. Where does the 10% discount come into play?

Oops sorry,  that is more than 2 questions, but hope someone can reply to this.

Last question, is it better to purchase the Package prior to the cruise or purchase it on the first day.

Thank you for all your replies. Have a good day.

If I could read your text maybe I could answer.    Lol.  That font is terrible for a forum. Lol.

Hello all, just wondering what free beverages are served in the buffet during Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner?

Also if anyone knows how fast are the streaming internet speeds on the Divina.

    Is this better? Thanks !!!

  5. Will be arriving in Genoa Italy in June 2023. I would like to know if MSC offers a shuttle service to Milan (either Citycentre or Airport). Tight now they have an excursion for Genoa ending at Milan Airport. I do not want a tour of Genoa. I just want to get to Milan. I know there is train service from Genoa to Milan, but the timing is not right. Thank you for your answers. By the way I have looked at the European Port of Calls page and there is nothing there.

  6.

Hello everyone, this question is for anyone who has sailed on the MSC Divina. I see that the TV is not very big. And it seems that there is room to go around the back to hook up a HDMI cable so that I can watch movies from my computer. Is this possible? Or is there some other things I should be aware of.

Thanks for your reply. I have also posted this on the MSC Roll Call board to see if anyone can answer this question.

What experience did you book? YC and Aurea have priority embarkation. They differ in the way they work. YC is personally escorted by a butler whereas Aurea guests have to alert the staff of their status to be shown where to go.

What about Diamond Status guests? Do they have priority embarkation as well? This is documented on the website for the Voyagers' Club Information. Thank you.

Hi to all of you more experienced cruisers,

My DH and I along with four family/friends are doing a B2B starting in Barcelona on Sep 24th.  The first cruise ends in Rome on Oct 3rd.  We are trying to figure out what to do on the turn-around day.  Are there usually excursions available for B2Bers?  From your experience, what time can B2Bers get off the ship?  We know that we have to clear customs but are not sure of the rest of the process. Any help and advice is most appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, been to Rome many times. A few things to consider.

What time does the ship arrive in Rome and what time does it sail?

There is no customs clearance as it is part of the EU. What you have to contend with is:

You have a shuttle to take you from the pier to Largo Della Pace. (https://civitavecchia.portmobility.it/en/shuttles)

This is about a 15 minute walk to the train station. But you can get off the shuttle at Fort Michelangelo. Walk out through the gate and it is a 5 minute walk to the train station.

Then you have to take the train into Rome. (www.trenitalia.com). Trains run every 45 minutes or so. And it takes 50 minutes to an hour to get into Rome.

Then you have to think of what you want to see. All the sights are spread out and you will need to plan to get there by subway. (Rome Metro (Metropolitana) - Map, Routes & Stations)

Lastly you have to plan on returning to the ship. Reverse of what you have done in the morning.

You don't want to be a pier runner !!!!

Check for shore excursions booked through the Cruise Line. But they are usually tours that end up at the airport and not back to the ship. Also look at tour companies like Viator. Good luck and have fun.

  9. Hello all, haven't been to San Juan in quite a while. Was wondering when MSC ships visit San Juan, do they dock at the Old Port or at the Terminal next to the domestic airport across from the Old Town. And if they do is there a shuttle to Old Town. Thank you for your answers. Have a great evening

After passing security we had to wait another 45 minutes in “Aurea & Diamond Priority” line at the counter

Does it mean that a "Diamond Member" in the Voyagers' Club also have priority boarding? They have assigned me a 4 PM boarding time but according to the FAQ as a Diamond Member I have priority boarding. Is this correct? Thank you for your answers.

If you're in the YC, just look for the white tent. It will be on the right of the terminal as you're looking at it.

No I am not in YC. But I have Diamond Status, thanks to my Elite status with Princess. Does MSC have a separate line for Diamond members to check in like they do at Princess? Thank you for your replies.

  12. Hello all, just a couple of questions regarding embarkation in Miami. My first time on MSC.

First off is there a separate line for Yacht Club cabins and Diamond Voyagers Member for embarkation in the Port of Miami.

Would they check your embarkation time when you check in. Or is the embarkation time on your reservation just a time generated by the system.

Thank you for your replies. Have a good day.

  13. Hello first time on MSC. Just wondering whether they serve coffee in the buffet for breakfast. I am booked on Fantasia section and it says coffee will be available in MDR for lunch and dinner but no mention of breakfast. Any information would be appreciated. This is for the trans-Atlantic cruise next May from Miami to Genoa.

Secondly about the internet. I plan on buying the browse/stream internet option for one device. Can you change from say a cell phone to a tablet or a laptop or will you be stuck on the one device you logged on first. (e.g. Princess lets you switch from one device to another directly)

Thank you for any info. Have a great day.

Does anyone know if you sign up on the 1st. day of boarding is it the same price, as ordering before from the Medallion App.from home.??????

I would also like to know if it is the same price on embarkation day or is it more than what you pay for when  you order from Medallion App.

I have heard it is $15.00 a day for embarkation day and then you get 50% off that price for Platinum or Elite. Then the rest of the cruise it is $20.00 a day. But if ordered ahead it is $10.00 a day which it shows on my App and I will get back 50% of that charge when I get on board. This was confirmed by Princess Rep. when I spoke with her about excursions and she said this is refundable. By the way, same thing for excursions, pay the full price and get back 10% off that price when you board if you are Elite.

    Can anyone confirm all this?

Thank you and have a good day.

Also, the intention is that the MC App will recognize CC status and only bill guests the net cost, rather than charge in full and then rebate back 50%.

Good morning thank you for your complete explanation. Just the one question with the above quote. Is the intention you mentioned here not implemented yet and I am paying the full now and when I get on board 50% of the cost will be returned to me as an on board credit? I have looked at the MC App and they are now charging me CDN$198.00 for the sixteen day cruise which is US$160.00. And by your reasoning I should get back back US$80.00 when I get on board and get it as a refundable credit in my account? Again thanks for your help. By the way I am not on the PrincessPlus plan. Have a very good day.

  16. Hello I am booked on the Sky Princess for March 22 2022 FLL-Southampton. All this talk about pre-booking the internet has me looking at my Cruise Personalizer. When I went into to look at where I can pre-purchase the internet package, I was not able to locate it. Can someone please enlighten me as to where the pre-purchase is located? Also can someone tell me what it cost to purchase the internet package. Does it differ from ship to ship or is the pricing fleet wide? As far as the pricing goes, since losing the free internet minutes, I was told that there would be a discount for purchasing the internet. How does this work? Thank you for your replies. Have a great day.

I just checked our upcoming Sydney to San Pedro cruise and the warning does not show up nor does any warning that OBC will be converted to AUD or cruise charges in AUD.  This probably is because the ship is returning to the US.

We did the exact same trip in April 2017. All shipboard accounts were in US dollars. And all on board credits were in US dollars. Our cruise was fantastic. Have a great trip.

Does anyone know what ship Generoso M is on?

He is on holidays right now. He left the Sapphire on Oct. 31 when the Sapphire was in Rome. Not sure where he is going next. His sidekick Godwin left the Sapphire on Nov. 28 when the ship docked in Singapore. He was going on three months leave and he doesn't know which ship he will be going back on either. He says he will be taking some courses at Corporate office in LA for a few weeks during his time off.

  19. Got off the ship yesterday. The cabin was fine. Not much of an obstruction. See photo above. But I had to change cabin the first day as there was a continuous air conditioning fan noise coming from the hallway. If you don't mind that then the cabin is great. Hope this helps. Have a good day.

use the app to enter your Canadian customs info as I assume your flight will be pre-clearing at FLL

There is no App to enter Canadian customs info and there is no pre-clearing in FLL. All customs and Immigration formalities are done at the first Canadian airport.

  21. We are taking DW's carers family of 2 adults and a 10 year old ,as an appreciation treat, on the Oct 2018 cruise to the Canary islands. They will be in E306 obstructed view cabin. Has anyone any photos or other information about this cabin. Particularly about the bed configuration and the view from the window. Thank you in anticipation.:)

This is so very nice of you to give the carers a cruise.

Have a look at renmar's website:

    https://sites.google.com/site/cabinviewbyrenmar/diamond-sapphire-princess/cabins-300--327

The head of beds will be against the window and will be two twin beds.

We will be going on the Sapphire on Oct. 31 from Rome.

Hope this helps. Have a good day.
