Hello to all! We are going to Alaska on May 29 - June 6, 2016. Has anyone been to Glacier Gardens in Juneau this year? If so, are the flowers blooming yet? Would it be worth it to go to the gardens in early June? Can anyone give me any advice on transportation to the gardens from the cruise dock? This is our first trip to Alaska and we don't really know what to do.

I have one other question. Is the Blue bus or White bus the best way to go to Mendenhall Glacier? How do I get tickets? Is Mendenhall Glacier and Glacier Gardens possible to do in one day?

We are flying into Vancouver the day before our May 30, 2016 Alaska cruise. We need suggestions about which hotel to stay in that is nice and will not break the bank. We are looking at the Holiday Inn Express Riverport Richmond because it states they have an airport shuttle. It is also mentioned that they have a cruise shuttle, but for a fee. Has anyone ever stayed here and used the cruise shuttle? If so, could you tell me how much the shuttle costs?

If an option is another hotel without a shuttle, is it a good idea to use the SkyTrain? Where do you get on the SkyTrain at? Does the SkyTrain go to the cruise port? I know I have a lot of questions, but we have never been to Vancouver before and are looking into our options. We live in a rural area and we have not found a flight that leaves on the day of the cruise that will get us there in time, so we decided it would be best to come in a day before. We just don't know what to do. Any suggestions and advice is very much appreciated!! Thank you so much.

Hello everyone - We are planning to cruise Alaska May 30, 2016 Northbound on Norwegian Sun and plan to take the railroad from Seward to Anchorage. Could anyone please tell me how to get from the railroad station to the airport in Anchorage? Are they far apart or close? We have never been to Alaska before and are just learning about all of the things to see and do and are just starting our research to get travel options. Any advice is really appreciated. Thank you.
