If you win on your bet with the free chips do they also take those?  Or are they play until you lose?

When I played with them and won a bet the dealer paid the bet and exchanged the fun play chip for an equal denomination.

As an example, a $5 Fun Play Chip bet on a roulette number that hit straight up paid $175, and the dealer collected the fun play chip then paid out $180 for me to continue playing with, or collect.

Hello everybody!  I just booked a 7 night on Carnival Celebration.  As part of the offer, I have $500 in casino fun play.  2 questions and I thank you all in advance!

1 - Do I need to do anything special to receive these points or will they automatically be on my card?  I had read something about getting something mailed???  IDK

2- Can I only use the credits on machines or can they be used on table games?

On the last cruise I had "fun Play Credits" I had to go to the casino cage and claim them. Like you read, I also read that I needed to bring the e-mail or mailer that stated the offer, but I was never asked to present anything when I went to the casino cage, and they had my name on their list of cruisers that were due "Fun Play".

At the cage, they offered to either load the funds on my sign and sail card for use in the slots, or they would give me "fun play chips" for the table games. I took the chips, which are not the same as casino chips. The "fun play chips" cannot be exchanged for cash, and could only be used to play at the tables. I managed the use of the chips by always taking any winnings, which are paid out in standard casino chips, and only playing with them until they were gone.

That was my experience, but yours may vary.

  4. Yes, any On Board Credit you receive from promotions or as compensation for other issues should automatically be applied to your Sign and Sail account, and will be used to pay for purchases (including specialty dining) before any cash or credit card you used to pre-fund your account.

I would suggest you take a copy of your booking invoice or other correspondence that shows you received On Board Credit with you on your cruise in the rare occasion that it isn't applied to your account when you board.

  5. Is it anything in the coffee shop?

    In a word, yes.

Coffee, milkshakes and the like are included. The bottled water is the smaller (1/2 liter) bottles that are included, although they have the larger bottles at the coffee shop. The larger bottles are only included in Cheers at the main dining room and specialty restaurants.

  6. Like you I was concerned about the local rental locations, so we chose to get our car at the airport.

We just used Enterprise after our December cruise. Got off the Glory, went to the curb, waited for the Enterprise shuttle to the airport (have your reservation available, either on your phone or paper copy, to show shuttle driver). Shuttle drops you off directly at the rental car office.

No problems for us, it is hectic after disembarking, so be patient waiting for shuttle if you choose to do a car rental shuttle to the airport to pick up a car.

Also, there was no charge for dropping at different location.

  7. I also ordered a $500 today but my shipping was only $.59. I wonder why it would be different. The shipping address has to match the credit card billing address now. I used to have them shipped to my work since signature is required. Nobody is home during the day. Hopefully the delivery will be in the evening!

The shipping is charged per card. If you ordered 1 $500 card you will pay $0.59 for shipping that 1 card. If you order 5 $100 cards you will pay $2.95 for shipping those 5 cards.

Good luck with the delivery time.

  8. How many points on your last cruise does it take to get the drinks on us card at the start of the cruise I was told its 5,000 it that correct:confused:

Our last cruise was a 7 day, and we both got the DOU card at 1,500 points. Here is a rule of thumb for the card:

    • On your current cruise (6 days or more), when you earn 1500 points playing the slots notify the casino host and you will be issued a Drinks On Us Card.

    • On your current cruise (4-5 days), When you earn 1000 points playing the slots notify the casino host and you will be issued a Drinks On Us Card.

    • On your current cruise (3 days or less), ask the casino host or pit boss for free drinks as there are no Drinks On Us Cards available.

The figure of 5,000 points is where (in my experience) you will start receiving Bounce Back Offers for free (or reduced fare) cruises.

    Good Luck!

  9. Interesting that list of rooms does not include the four interior rooms on deck 12.

Good catch! I didn't notice that, but knew they were there because we tried to get them for our kids on the Breeze cruise we took. They were already sold out before we booked our balcony rooms across the hall so we had to put them on Deck 11.

It shows the interiors on 11, but not 12. They are listed on the Spa and Sports Deck Stateroom Descriptions here:

    https://help.goccl.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/607

  10. I've searched the Carnival Breeze website and the FAQs and am still pretty much in the dark concerning specific spa benefits that are included when booking a spa (interior) cabin.

I think appointment items such as massages, mani-pedi, etc, are not included, which is fine. But what spa advantages are included with the cabin fare?

I would appreciate any information. Thanks.

This page will give you the information particular to Spa Staterooms on the Breeze:

We really enjoyed our Spa Balcony on the Breeze in June.

  11. For clarification.. I am sailing out of Galveston, so if I purchase Cheers in advance I can begin to use the program on the first day? Or do I still have to wait until the second? Is that plus price the advantage of buying in advance???TIA

When cruising out of Galveston, Cheers is not effective until 6:00 AM the morning after embarkation regardless of whether you pre-purchase it or purchase it on-board (either way you are charged for 6 days, not 7).

The difference in pre-purchase and on-board price does not play in to when the program is available. You simply save $5.75 a day by buying it before the cruise.

  12. Last time our balconies between two rooms were able to be opened. This time we have three rooms. Are all balcony dividers able to be opened or is it just certain ones and if so how can I find out which ones can be opened? Thanks for any help.

To find out the specifics for your stateroom balconies, click this link:

Carnival Dream (DR) Staterooms and Ship Features

Select your Deck, find your stateroom numbers and it will tell you what balconies they connect to. Normal balcony rooms usually only connect to one other balcony because of the layout.

  13. Thank you for link

    I'm missing something I think:confused:

If I would do the 'social' package, would I have ability to use FB messenger to communicate with the Mr back @ home without taking my iPhone off airplane mode/using data?

Also, could I post pictures on FB from my phone for him to view?

Yes, you can use Facebook Messenger, and post photos to Facebook without taking your phone off airplane mode, and you won't be using any of your cellular data.

Social ($5 USD per day) – Access the most popular websites and applications. Includes: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Linkedin, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. Does not include access to other websites or apps.

  14. Same price on board from room service, plus a 15% gratuity. I think you're limited to two four packs. Its not something I drink so I'm not sure, but I'd guess you can get it at any bar, for a slightly higher price.

You are correct about the limit (I was curious so I checked).

On-board Mike's Hard Lemonade is $5.95 each at the bar, so the 15% gratuity makes it about 84 cents more than preordering (interestingly, they are $6 each if preordered, but without gratuity as you pointed out).

I don't know if you can buy Mike's as a bucket. If you can, then that saves a little money if you are buying multiples anyway.

  15. Howdy folks, first time poster here so please forgive me if this is not the place for this.

Is the 7 day pass for the Cloud 9 worth it? I am interested in getting her into that salt-water pool. I know there are hot tubs everywhere but the idea of a bit more of a secluded place where she can avoid a ton of people pushing there way around the hot tub would be nice. What else is included that may be of benefit to her arthritis? Is Cloud 9 crowded too?

    Any advice is appreciated!

We had Cloud 9 Spa access on our last cruise on the Breeze. I found the facilities very nice, and I really liked the hot rock loungers and steam rooms.

The Thalasso therapy pool is a mineral pool, not salt water. I found it really relaxing, and it was never crowded. There are steps up to the platform for the pool, while I don't remember the exact number it seems to me it was 6 or 7, and there are 2 steps up in to, and out of, the pool itself. There are handrails, so as long as she can maneuver a short flight of stairs she should be able to access it fine.

The rooms with hot rock chairs and loungers might be nice for her condition, but I say that only knowing that the rooms are relaxing and help relieve my joint stiffness.

All of these facilities are a very short walk from the ladies locker room on in the spa area.

Enjoy your cruise with your mom!

  16. OP, I don't think there's a price list just for shots.

The menu picture I posted in Post #4 "Sippin Drinks" is the bar menu for shots, either straight up, or on the rocks.

There are specialty bars that have other selections, I did not have pictures of them, but that menu is the shot price list for most of the bars on Carnival.

  17. It was at the UPS store but now I am wondering if that package was ever misplaced at all. They gave me one door notice but there were always 2 orders' date=' 2 routing numbers...and the confirmation email for that package came a day later than the one that was lost.[/quote']

Thanks for the reply. I was just curious how it ended up.
