Yes CCL has the coin pusher.
Talk about free!
Just got a casino offer for free balcony, $100 deposit pp then get $100 OBC pp.
looking to book an 11 day Alaska cruise in May. Hopefully it works out . We usually get an inside cabin but after that RC inside box (cabin, smallest ever) I’m down for a balcony.

Since I’m diamond on Carnival, it will have take many cruises on another cruise line to get any quality perks, that’s mainly the reason for sticking to CCL. Yes, it’s also a pet peeve of mine that CCL does not reciprocate to their other cruise lines. Celebrity and RC do, maybe not equally but better than nothing.
On another note- just sailed on RC (disembarked Saturday), talk about loaded with old people! So many scooters blocking hallways, people in wheelchairs and walkers, etc. Activities more or less shut down at 8-9pm. I have nothing against “old people” , in fact I’m reaching that distinction faster than I’d like 🤪😟 but cruising activities need to be geared for everyone, young, not so young and “old”.

Once diamond there is no more levels to go and no other perks. That’s why we tried RC but on longer cruises the wash/fold is well worth having bc not as much clothes to pack.

I did a B2B in April to achieve diamond tier. On embarkation I received a diamond sign and sail card and on the second, when actually I wouldn’t be diamond until the end of the second cruise.
How’s that for service?
I also received my 25% off when I reached 25 Carnival cruises, received it as OBC for an international cruise out of Rome. I have not used my complementary specialty restaurant or upgrade/free 3rd/4th person in same cabin. I will probably use the upgrade for a more expensive cruise or for my grandchildren.
Unlimited wash/fold is very nice.

I have also cruised NCL twice before and they both were wonderful. Loved NCL but get more perks on Carnival.

We also tried another cruise line (RC) but the whole time we compared it to Carnival! So many things were different, not for the better, and we also missed our perks for being platinum and diamond. Unless I get a fantastic offer from another cruise line (free) I’m sticking to Carnival!

We are also concerned about testing. We have a Mediterranean cruise from Rome in September but will be traveling through France before and then will be in Rome 3 days before cruise. Trying to figure out how we will get tested for the cruise. Considering using our US government tests but have to confirm that they are accepted by Carnival. Has anyone used these for pre cruise testing?

Our 14 day cruise booked for January 24 out of Galveston will more than likely be cancelled. That will be the third time we have been cancelled. We ( us and our travel couple) have decided, if January cruise is cancelled we will opt for a 100% refund and wait awhile to rebook, no matter what kind of OBC they offer (short of a free cruise.)

IMO we can’t be “ ground hogs” and come out once a year to see if Covid-19 is gone!

Ok, I’m one of those who never loses anything but a year ago, the night before our cruise I decided I should put our passports in my bag. Oh no, can’t find mine. I knew I could use drivers license and birth certificate but called Carnival just to confirm. All I needed was a “ copy” of my birth certificate no the original. Made a couple of copies and no problem through out cruise. Only used it a embarkation.
Good luck and enjoy your cruise.
Oh, the day after we returned, I found my passport. Just where I put it in plain sight. [emoji23]

I wonder if these people (trouble makers) will be blackballed from taking another cruise with Carnival?

If you were upgraded to a suite from balcony would you still receive priority on embarkation?
Yes, you still receive suite perks

There is also one Carnival Sunshine class and one Carnival Vista class ship.

Carnival Splendor is the sole ship of the Splendor class, a smaller , modified version of the Concordia class. Entered service July 2, 2008.

This was not the fight these people had with other passengers, seems they were always looking for a fight and instigating one.

Also, sorry to say, my Mexican Riviera was my least favorite cruise.

I’ve been on the Splendor twice. Both times on level 7 ( cabin 7439 , 7434 - this cruise Mexican Riviera). Neither time was there a problem with noise to where I couldn’t sleep. The Splendor is a unique ship, they only made one Splendor class.

I have experienced a cruise both ways- with alcohol and without ( my husband drank not me). Without was definitely better. Didn’t have to worry about him falling all over the place, slobbering on others or me and breaking his phone in the shower. I on the other hand, have a great time with one glass of wine at dinner once or twice. Maybe a fruity drink by the pool or whiskey sour at the platinum/diamond party.

I stayed in the Grand Suite on Carnival Conquest. Other than priority embarkation and debarkation, priority tendering, priority resturant reservations, priority spa, etc. The suite was awesome, since there was 4 of us we needed the extra room. Plenty of closet space and drawers. On Celebrity you get a butler, but you also pay the price.

We have always enjoyed late dining. No rush after excursions and no rush dinning. Wait staff always attentive and great. Yes, this is on Carnival. The few cutbacks they have instituted have not effected me or my husband. The chocolate on the bed, we collected and brought home anyway. Didn’t notice much more. A cruise is what you make it. I don’t look for things to complain about.

Get off, get a shuttle $5 p/p and go to one of their beautiful beaches. Not the most popular one which will unbelievably crowded, just nearest to pier. You’ll still have a great time. We did this April 2016. [emoji41] relaxing.

The staff on Carnival DID NOT start the brawl. These “people” were looking for a fight every where they went. Read it was only one “big” family who were enrolled in more than one brawl. They were put off at the next port, VOILA! No more fighting.

I feel like a traitor...
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Just so everyone knows, I’ve cruised Carnival, RC, and NCL. They were all good, just some were better than others. Maybe it was the tiny inside cabin that affected my attitude on this latest cruise bc all other cruises were just fine. NCL was first class. Carnival even though it’s considered a “fun ship”, as older adults, I’ve always had a great time.
I’ve even been on a cruise when a drunk passenger thought it would be better to jump overboard than face consequences of being belligerent.
I’ve always been of the mindset that each cruise is what you make it. I just couldn’t help compare RC to CCL on my last cruise.
The staff is ALWAYS great! Variety of activities are somewhat lacking at times I suppose on all cruise lines.
So, let’s cruise and have a great time. Who knows! Maybe we’ll be on the same cruise one day 😉
Blessings,
CKM
