Cancelled yesterday and was told the same thing - no way to send a cancellation email.
Called back today and their notes say we cancelled but again, no way to send a cancellation email.
Refund coming potentially after both final payment and the first day of the cruise (if it takes the full 45 days).
So I have no proof in my possession that the cruise was cancelled. Very unsettling and terrible customer service.

Also just received an email. Nov 10 sailing switching St. Kitts for San Juan. Extra time in St. Thomas. Full refund or change up to August 8.

We are now Diamond Plus with 22 cruises completed. In 2013, we received a call the week before the cruise to upgrade from a balcony to a JS for $200 total. I took it. I believe we were nearly Diamond then but definitely not Diamond Plus. So it does happen but not often.

Like others have posted, I create a word doc and list everything from flights, hotels, excursions, shows, anything pre-booked with reference numbers, times, costs, etc. If we are travelling with others, I print out multiple copies and hand one to each person at the airport. Pin it up to the cabin wall with a magnet right by the door.

If you've never been, the Atlantis is fairly impressive but expensive. Lots to see and do there. Their website is very detailed if you want to take a look in advance.
As an alternative, there used to be a nice self-guided walking tour of Nassau online that someone wrote up. Takes about 2-3 hours and it is a lot of walking but covers a fair portion of the city and gives you the history. There are actually several such guides so pick one you prefer.
Lastly, we have been fans of purchasing day passes to Melia and taking a taxi. If it's warm, it's a lovely beach day and far cheaper than Atlantis.

We just did the tour on Liberty last week. There were 7 of us in our family group (our whole tour was under the 20 cap) and we all enjoyed it. The tour lasted about 2 hours. In order: dining room, galley and food storage, engine control room, bridge. There was a general tour guide but each stop had a ship's officer talk to us and answer questions. Security was taken very seriously as we were all wanded before entering the engine control room and bridge plus we had two security officers with us from that point of the tour until the end. One of them looked like he could have been the starting linemen for any NFL team.
The tour utilized I-95 which was fun to see and look around. There is a fair bit of walking but my 78 year old mother-in-law had no problems. We would definitely recommend it.

We just got off Liberty yesterday. The Captain smartly had us docked around midnight to avoid fog delays the next morning like we had on embarkation day that delayed us 5 hours. Even with that, a very smooth disembarkation process and an early tag number (#3), our shuttle bus arrived at George Bush at 11:20am.
I would not book a flight before 1:30pm at the absolute earliest. And I'd still buy the insurance.

We did the Royal luggage valet program where they take them the night before and you see them at your destination airport (for a fee of course). All 7 of us had backpacks with valuables, etc. that we carried for the day. Rented a mini-van at the FLL airport and did our own airboat tour which we met up with just past Sawgrass Mills Mall on I75. Back to airport in plenty of time for our 445pm flight.
Depending on your sailing, there are post-cruise shore excursions through RC. There's quite a bit to see and do in the area but most would require a vehicle.

Our booking also disappeared this morning for a while. We sail in 2 days so I too had a moment of panic.
Then I remembered it was the Royal Caribbean website and relaxed.

We have a cruise in two weeks and I called after final payment. They bumped us up a category from a standard to superior balcony. Lesson learned, I will call before final payment every time now.
Last minute cancellation

Long story short, my wife was admitted to the hospital tonight (nothing super serious) and our cruise is tomorrow.
We have already cancelled flights and are definitely not making the ship.
We did not get travel protection because this is our 26th Royal cruise and have never needed it. Obviously, that won't happen again.
Is there any way to get a future credit? Are there magic words I need to speak to the agent to get any recourse?
Or am I just getting back taxes, port fees, dining, wifi and excursions?
Taking all suggestions.
