  1. Sorry but this info is false. I just talked to an agent at Celebrity about upgrading my 1A to a CC2 which is on sale and she told me that as long as it’s the same cost or LESS than what I paid I can upgrade no charge. I’m after final payment.

I’ve done this on 2 different cruises. And paid the difference on 2 others. All after final payment. Call your TA or Celebrity and ask. Costs nothing to ask.

  2. We were in 1116 on Summit. Farther front but we absolutely loved the location of the stateroom. Noise from Rooftop Terrace did not bother us at all. It was extremely easy to go down the steps and grab a beverage or a bite to eat. The exit door farther forward was convenient if we were heading to the pool area.

1116 is our Cabin on Summit for September 2018 for New England and Canada.

  3. I have the opportunity to go from the 9th floor Aqua Class mid ship cabin to an 11th floor Aqua Class stateroom, specifically cabin #1139..... I like the idea of being bale to walk down to the after bar for a pre dinner cocktail while the Mrs get's ready for dinner, but should I consider anything else?

Is the 9th floor center ship a better location?

    Thank you in advance.

We were in 1139 on Infinity in March. Loved the location. Would grab it again in a heartbeat. It was an amazing location for our Panama Canal transit. Also convenient to run down the steps and grab a cocktail to enjoy on our balcony.

  4. How was the service and food on Infinity? Did they serve Prime Rib? Did they have enough staff? We had an overall bad expetience there last Oct after being BLU fans for many cruises...Going to be back again ...hoping it has improved.

Agree that going early avoids a wait...or ultra slow service.

We were on Infinity B2B in March. Service was very good. Late dining was the busiest. Many late diners on that cruise.

  5. This happened while dining one night in a specialty restaurant (not on X). Husband and wife dining at a table that was back to back with a family of 4, mom, dad and 2 children about 5 and 3. The children were standing in the banquet and jumping around, and one of them kept hitting the woman sitting behind them in the head. She politely turned around and asked the children to sit down and stop hitting her in the head. The children continued their behavior and their parents were oblivious. Finally the woman's husband got up and approached the family's table and asked "excuse me, would you like me to take your children outside so that you can enjoy your meal?" The dad looked up, smiled and said "Thanks!" He didn't get the sarcasm and was prepared to turn his two kids over to a total stranger!

Unfortunately, not at all surprised by this. Sad.

  6. We left Buenos Aires on 12/5/17. I, and many other passengers got an upper respiratory infection by the next wee. It is April 25 and I am still having problems. Been on antibiotics, prednisone, and other over the counter stuff. Still coughing. Does anyone have answers?? What is this? I would appreciate any help.

We were on Infinity 3/5 to 4/2. Both DH and I got respiratory grunge second week. Coughing was the worst symptom. This was a pain but we were still able to enjoy our trip. Saw doctor after we got home as our flights pushed us over the edge and we got really sick. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and I use an inhaler at times normally. All symptoms are now gone but still coughing some. Ships and planes are germ factories and Infinity has had issues for months.

  7. Just wondering....what about an Aft/stern balcony?

We just returned April 2 from a canal cruise on Infinity and we had an A1aft cabin on deck 11. For us it was excellent. The best part was we could get out of the heat. When we came inside we tied our drapes back so we had a great view and kept the tv on the view from the front and we could hear all the commentary. We just saw it later. What an amazing trip.

  8. Someone posted on our Roll Call that Infinity has a lot of illness onboard, flu and norovirus both. Anyone else onboard now who can comment?

On Infinity now. Been onboard since March 5. Disembarking shortly. First leg coughing and colds, this leg (3/19) colds a bit less but definitely noro. Heavy cleaning daily. They have been diligently wiping rails. Seats. Elevators. Door handles.

  9. Will I have an issue if I take my own hair dryer? The ones provided in the cabin suck? 👿

Some one just posted that curling irons and hot rollers were also taken.

So any one who has sailed recently is this true or just an isolated instance.

Thanks in advance for any recent information.

  10. If you are on the Solstice & got either 1676 or 1674 your balcony is larger than normal with 1674 being the larger balcony of the 2. We have sailed in both cabin. Enjoy Blu.

We are on the Infinity. Sail on March 5, the "stateroom shuffle" is going on right now. LOL. We always enjoy Blu.

  11. I have found good deals on concierge and aqua

on celebrity solstice that are guarantee only

does that mean i only get the rooms that are not popular and no one wants

which one is the best value aqua or concierge:)

    many thanks

I just snagged upgrades from veranda (B2) to AQUA guarantee for our upcoming B2B. When our rooms were assigned both were A1 and one was an aft Cabin. Guarantee is a crap shoot but we have done well every time we have done it. We are not fans of the MDR, to busy, so Blu is great for us.

  12. Does anyone know if they make a Moscow Mule in the traditional copper mug anywhere onboard?

    Thanks!

I had one on the Silhouette can't remember if it was served in the copper mug but I do remember there was an up charge on the premium package. Surprised me.

  13. We are traveling to Asia on a Viking trip in April and our American Airlines seat changes have been updated on the Viking site. It has been about 10 days since the change and I didn't check to see how long it took. We traveled to Europe with Viking in 2015 on Delta and also did seat changes through Delta with no problem. I would think the Airlines seat assignment is accurate and have also found the Viking website slow to update on other issues.

We changed our seats on January 17 on the Delta site. Just checked our Viking account and our seat assignments now reflect the seat changes.

  14. Some info thanks. What was the evening activity like in Havana?

We did the Tropicana show. It was amazing. Our best time in Havana was when we rented one of the old cars and driver. Took us to parts of the city we didn't see on the tours. Had a great lunch overlooking the city and harbor.

  15. I was thinking the same thing re: figuring out how to spend it on board, ONT-CA. LOL. Guess the line is at least making a nice gesture, though.

Also, thanks for sharing that new info, riverclub.

On the Crystal now. Get off in the morning.

They have a very good Spa. That's where we used our OBC
