:confused: I was wondering after reading the threads addressing; no, french and real, balcony's, when does the ship usually move? I was wondering how much time is actually spent cruising during the day? where one could get maximum benefit from a balcony, french or otherwise. If one moves at night to be in another port for next day how much time can you possibly have to sit on your balcony watch the world go by? Although I really like that idea... All other considerations aside, no claustrophobia, etc. etc.

Thanks to all, this is exactly what I wanted to know... It would be a day trip so I think we will look at doing just a portion of the drive based on the guide I have and recommendations here, thanks again, Magnolia:)

Hi, Does anyone know the best way to get from Victoria to Seatac? Am looking at the ferry to Port Angeles and then a shuttle to Seatac...

Do you go through American customs and immigration in Port Angeles? and if so how long does it take? (I realize this will be an estimate) I ask because I'm trying to coordinate the two with the flight and it ain't easy! I am aware of the Clipper but would like a less expensive option...

Hi, will be arriving Anchorage first part of Aug. have heard the drive to Seward is a must see, cannot make train departure time and tours are very expensive. Our day there will be 7am to 11pm. Have some questions I hope you all can help me with.... Would renting a car and driving be an option? Is it worthwhile to go all the way to Seward? or would a shorter trip be good? I am just not sure how to arrange this, thanks in advance for your input, Magnolia
