Sailing Anthem soon with a couple of newly-minted C&A Diamond members. To celebrate, I offered to "buy" them their first drink in the DL. :)

But, now wondering if they are still allowed to go into the DL or are they only entitled to the daily drink vouchers?

I know the CL/DL/SL ground rules are changing, but wanted to know if it has happened yet on Anthem.

I certainly agree with Karen. We used the valet parking and it was so convenient! We couldn't have been more pleased with this service.

Agreed. DH and I have perfected it! We find a table first, then I go, then he goes when I come back. Then I grab a little dessert, then he goes after me. We haven't eaten together on a cruise in 15 years! Bwahahaha!!! LOL :D:D:D

Oh, that's just too funny, but sadly true. After thinking about this for a minute, it is our Windjammer experience too! :(

Guests are usually allowed onto the helicopter pad. Go outside on deck 4, go forward until you come to stairs, go up the stairs, and continue forward.

Uhhh, bear in mind that while on the helipad, you will be in full view from the bridge! :eek:

Ruth Romo Ortiz is still CL concierge as of Feb 28, 2014.

 

Francis Calimag on vacation starting Feb 28. His replacement will be "George" from another ship (he was not yet onboard as of this sailing). Could possibly be "Jorge" Guterrez from Freedom, who is coming back from vacation?

 

Francis will return on Apr 12 as CL Concierge and Ruth will move to DL concierge.

 

Looks like Francis and Ruth continue to rotate in the two positions.

86% for me. Bet the next time I take it I'll score higher!

Countdown clock says 68 days, but leaving a week earlier for beach vacation pre-cruise :D

Does anyone know when Mario Reyes returns from vacation back to Explorer - I believe he left 11/15/12 to go home.

Mario will return for the Jan 13 sailing on EX. Hes's a great guy!

February 27, 2012 – Embarkation Day

 

 

Boarding began shortly after 11:30am. The first thing I did was drop my carry-on bags in the room. I made sure the room steward knew I had dropped off the bags; I took my camera and then got out of his way.

 

I returned to my cabin shortly after 1:30pm. My bags have not arrived yet. However, luggage did arrive outside my door before 2:00pm. .

Thanks for the detailed report, Cuizer2 - I feel like I'm cruising right there with you!

I have a question concerning your carry-on drop off: As I recall, the large corridor entrance doors to the cabins are generally closed and locked, and you cannot get to your cabin before they open those doors. Where did you drop your bags? Sounds like it was somewhere other than your cabin, as you said that they hadn't arrived yet when you returned to your cabin after 1:30.

I'd love to know, so we would no longer have to lug our carry-on bags to lunch and around the ship waiting for those big corridor doors to be opened.
