  1. Same issue. I did the web check in (it shows completed for all people) and did the "send email" for the cruise ticket and that worked fine. I did the download embarkation forms and got an error. We also have not done the photos.   I am guessing photos are printed on the document? I will, at some point soon do the photos and see if that makes a difference.

  2. Thanks - I didn’t see Rotterdam in either topic and assumed holland was Northern Europe and not British isles… holland is Northern Europe?
The thread you linked doesn’t really answer my question though - I am porting in Rotterdam and don’t have a choice in that... Was hoping to find an excursion or tour that someone here recommended from Rotterdam.

  3. We were also booked on Euribia from barcelona on 18Nov 2023.. It got changed to the older ship.
I didn't cancel, just did a 2nd booking on world europa for the day earlier 17Nov sailing... turns out that price was just about the same but also included drinks/wifi for same price as the one I had booked in Euribia.  Timing issue I guess but it worked out better for me.

Called MSC and just cancelled the Euribia one and got refunded the deposit.

  4. Hi, I'm looking for info / advice on booking a trip from Montego Bay to Negril (beach for sure, then open after that) . We'll be 2 adults and 2 kids (3 and 6)

Has anyone done this? Did you use a tour operator or did you just hire a taxi and DIY it?

Approx costs of each?  Anything you'd recommend or avoid?

I'm thinking of Ricks bar but i know the kids won't be able to jump in  - is the food good? Can they swim in the pool? Are there better options in Negril? Maybe Rick's is too touristy?

Where did you stop in Negril - good beach or lunch spots?

Love any and all information !

    Thank you !

  5. Specifically on the Vista Kaleidoslide -

Do you go faster or slower on this one the more you weigh - I read weight limit is 265. for someone at that weight, would they be faster than someone at 140 pounds for instance?   I've searched youtube videos but all those show pretty slender people going down it and it doesn't look too fast so if bigger = slower on this one, has anyone gotten stuck?

Has anyone ridden it at over 265 pounds? Looks like there were no weight limits on carnival slides initially (from earlier searches) but now there are.

    thanks

"that from the the 3% increase, 1.5% will go to the Carnival server and the remaining 1.5% will go into a pool to fund Carnival expenses including the costs of  uniforms and return airline tickets for crew members"

Sorry uniforms and return Airline tickets for crew members are general operations expenses. So confirmed by the VP of Hotel Operations. a Copy of the letter can be found here  Carnival cruise line pockets portion of increase drink gratuities.

    My POV -

In most jobs the employee pays at least partially for any type of uniform and no company I've heard of here in the US pays my airfare home to visit my family.

So, to me, these are also indirect benefits to the employee.

  7. I was planning on doing Playa Mia on our own, seems a lot more reasonably priced that way.

What happens if it rains? Can you get refunded? Or do you not pre-purchase your entry?

From what I understand, you don't need to pre purchase admission. You just show up and pay at the entrance.

  8. My girls loved the pool at hotel gakvez. great location near pleasure pier and right by the water. the tremont doesnt have a pool, but you can use hotel galvez since they are sister properties.

Thanks. I couldn't book because it was enforcing a 2 night minimum.. (it allowed me to book if I put 2 nights, but if I put in 1 night, it said sold out).

I ended up booking the Sheraton which I think is also near pleasure pier.

  9. Playa Mia does not limit the number of entrants. Weve not been to Sanchis or Nachi. We always go to Playa Mia (spring break). To beat the crowds, go on your own, not through your ship. You will beat any shore excursions by hours and you can stay hours after they leave.

Playa Mia is pretty big. We get there early. Stake our claim by one of the pools, make friends with our waiter, and enjoy our stay while watching our daughter play in the pool.

Also, going on your own, you have many choices of tickets to choose (all inclusive, ala carte).

Thanks, we definitely plan to go it on our own and not do an excursion. With so many ships in port do you think that at the height of the day it'd be too crowded? y daughter (age 6) really wants to do the inflatables but I think I'd be worried if there were too many people on them..

  10. I know Nachi and Mr Sanchos only sell a certain number of tickets to avoid over crowding. Is Playa Mia the same or do they let it get super crowded?

I ask because there are 432526 ships in port that day (well , not quite but there are a LOT - 29,000 pax) Thank you!

Passengers: 29787 (Carnival dream, MSC armonia, Costa Deliziosa, NCL getaway, Regal Princess, Carnival Vista, Harmony of the seas, empress of the seas, nieuw statendam)

  11. Hate to be "that person" but my kids are picky eaters.

On the RP website the menu looks great for me and my husband but I don't see anything my kids will eat (yes, even the pizza).

My question -- do they have a kids menu? If so what's on it - looking for things like chicken fingers, grilled cheese, etc.

Please don't suggest I simply get my kids to try new foods. I'd love nothing more than that but they just won't and it's not a battle I want to deal with on vacation :):)

If there's a better place we should look at, please suggest. We're looking to rent a cabana on the beach. Thank you!

  12. hire a licensed taxi and have them take you on a tour of the island.. negotiate the rate in advance. about 10 years ago my sister and I paid $90 for an entire day of being taxi'd around and the driver was basically like our dad. he watched our stuff when we climbed the falls, he made sure we didn't get into any trouble in the bars, lol
