  1. Hi.....

Just booked Pride from Baltimore for 7 day to Nassau.  Wondering if you know what the menu rotation is each day in the MDR?  Wanting to book Steakhouse on a night my hubby prefers not to eat in MDR.

Apologies if this has been asked before...... I did a search and didn't have luck

    TIA!!

  2. Wondering if John Watling's Distillery does rum tastings?  How much $ and how many samples? I'm hoping they do, it looks like their bottles are pricey, and I'm not one to buy alcohol without knowing if I like it or not..... TIA!

  3. Need some reassurance about the RC card points applied to my balance. In Feb. I called and used points worth $300 to apply to my balance, (not OBC). I was told they had until the Balance Due date of 5/6 to apply it. It still isn't showing as applied and I've just received the notification that the date is coming up quickly. I called and got a confirmation # stating it will be applied. However, I'm starting to sweat thinking they might get it wrong and I'd lose my cruise. Has anyone here applied points to the balance, and can you reassure me it has been applied successfully? Or should I be concerned?

  4. I use my Royal Caribbean Credit card to pay most of my bills and have quite a nice Rewards Points balance saved up.  We have a cruise coming up in August that I've been paying on.  Balance is due in a few months.  Has anyone here used those Reward Points to pay towards the balance of the cruise?  I know a lot of people will use it as an onboard credit to use on the ship, but I'd like to know if I can pay off my balance of the cruise itself.  If so, do I call Royal Caribbean or the credit card company??

  5. So we leave tomorrow.....TO MOR ROW!!! and my husband asked this morning about luggage and embarkation at Baltimore. I know this might get moved to another board, but you guys answer much quicker, so thanks for your patience. I've heard it's wise to get in the CASH line to park as it moves quickly. But his question was about when they collect your bags.....while you're waiting in line?....before we park?........or do we park and then take them to the place where the porters collect them?

  6. I know it was years ago, but it used to be that you had to have a signed release from the cruise line if you wanted to make copies of any photos you bought. For example...... Cruise line took a great family shot, when you get home, other extended family wants copies. To get them made, you had to show a cruise line photo release form. Is that still the case? I haven't heard anyone discuss it lately. I have a camera shy teenage son that I'm hoping to get a great formal picture to duplicate.

  7. Last time we were in Nassau, I was still lounging in bed in morning and hubby went to get coffee and have a smoke. He came back and asked me if I REALLY wanted to get off, I asked why and he said cause there was 6 ships in port

Since we have been there at least half a dozen times, I said NOPE, and rolled over and went back to sleep for a bit. Got up had a great leisurely breakfast and then we had the whole ship pretty much to ourselves. It was GREAT! Went to the pool, hot tubs, and even rode the water slide a few times! No other guests were there with us at all! In over 25 cruises that was the 1st time I had ever set foot in a pool or hot tub cause I had no desire to get in with so many other people! Finally got to go and had the entire thing to myself.

Then we got to wander around the ship and take some great pics with no one around, then had a great lunch without all the crowds.

    HIGHLY recommend it.

This sounds delightful!!! The ship could be our private excursion for free! I think we (DH, 18yo son, myself) will enjoy the slides with less wait.

  8. We're cruising Pride starting 10/29/17. We've substituted Nassau for Grand Turk. Grand Turk would have been new for us. We've been to Nassau a couple times, but it's been years. I just checked, and including the Pride, it looks like there will be at least 5 ships there (Enchanted, Majesty, Sunshine, Anthem and Pride). I can't imagine that many ships at once!!! Anyone else been there when there have been that many? I'm debating staying on the ship (1st because Nassau isn't a favorite of ours, secondly because of sooooo many people). What are your thoughts???

  9. My email states that the excursion for Grand Turk (which was changed to Nassau), will be "refunded to your Sail & Sign® account. Once on board, please visit our Shore Excursions Desk for information on Carnival excursions in Nassau. " What if there are no excursions in Nassau that I'm interested in? Will that $ be credited back to my credit card, or will I forfeit that if I don't use it somehow?

Realize.....I'm thrilled to be going on a cruise....anywhere!!! Just not sure about what excursion my teenage son might be interested in on Nassau.

    Thanks for your expertise!

  10. You just need to be carrying it on in some way. It can't be checked.

so.......if each of us hand carry a 12 pack of soda along with our carry-on luggage, that's ok? Then of course we'll need to schlep it around with us until our room is ready..... hmmmm....any other option?

  11. This hurricane seems to be completely devastating the Bahamas and other islands. Certainly after the damage, it will be a while before ships are going to those islands, right? I mean, looking at St. Martin....I can only imagine it will take months to get the island close to inhabitable for those who live there, much less try to cater to cruises! Or will the cruises go there to bring in much needed income to the islands? It just seems to me that Irma is going to put this area "off limits" as a vacation stop. Am I off base on this?

  12. I know that some time back there was a thread with a spreadsheet showing all the ships, all the dining available on each ship, and whether that dining was included or extra . I thought I had put it in my favorites, but now can't find it. Does anyone else remember it and know where to find it?

    Thanks
