  1. Hi, we are booked in November 2016 on a 19 day partial Canal transit. We are now booked in a mini suite aft and now after reading all of your answers I was wondering if C226 forward would be comfortable while cruising north back to Los Angeles. We did an 18 day same cruise on the Island 6-7 years ago but we were on Dolphin aft. I must wear a patch for seasickness but it always works for me. Has anyone found this cabin too far forward for comfort?

Thanks for any wisdom you can impart. I have had 2 surgeries and a bad infection over the last 1 1/2 year and am so looking forward to this cruise.

  2. Hello all you informed persons. We will be in Juneau next May and there are 4adults in our party, one can not walk too far so will have a walker. We want to see Mendenhall Glacier and some of the area. Looking at the shore excursions offered by Princess we are leaning toward renting a car and getting around by ourselves. Does this sound doable for us? Thanks for any info you can give us.

  3. My DH and I have been on the Grand 3 times and are booked for Alaska on her next year. She is a nice ship, nice size and less people. Once you get used to the staircase issue, no problems. Hope you have a great cruise.

  4. We also use a wipe when we walk in the hallways as my DH has balance problems. So far we have been fortunate and have never become I'll. we also use the Baggie trick for the remotes, always wipe the handles of everything, hangers, lamp switches and anything else we can think of. I have one I use on the table and condiments in the buffet if we go there. And , of course, wash, wash, wash and wash again!:)

  5. Hello all, my DH can walk for a short distance and can climb a few stairs. On the cruise ship he will be using his scooter but we would like to see whales in Juneau. Harv & Marvs website suggest that he would not be a good fit for their tours. Does anyone else have ideas. He can go without his scooter if he doesn't have to walk far.

Thanks for any help you can give us.

  6. Hi, as part of our suite perks we have been given a free dinner at a speciality restaurant for our first night. As our train from Denali does not arrive in Whittier until 5:30pm I don't feel that we will want to dine in the CC that evening. Will we be allowed to use this benefit on another night?

Thanks for any info you can give us.

  7. We are doing DB4 which has 2 nights in the Denali Lodge and 1 night in McKinley Princess. We wanted it all planned out for us.

Hope you have a great time. I am excited and we don't leave until May 2015!

  8. I noticed that there is a section on the menu called American Classics that featured meatloaf and other comfort foods. There is always New York steak and salmon on the available anytime menu.

IMHO you would all find the MDR more enjoyable than the buffet. Have all the fun you can!

  9. The free unlimited internet is still noted on the website and I posted that on the Princess Facebook site. Promises should be honored especially when they are placed in print.

If they promise this and don't honor it what will disappear next, free laundry, mini bar set up? Guess we'll find out.
