I did not get it on my last cruise, and I don't regret it one bit. The biggest issue for me is that all members of the cabin have to buy it. I understand why that policy exists, but it kills it for me. We would be lucky to get 25% of the value for my girlfriend.
Don't get me wrong, I love alcohol, but I also love the free food. Once I'm full on food, I can only drink so much. One of my favorite alcoholic gems was the pour your own beer station. I forget the brand, but it was pretty good. You could pour your own beer for about $4.50 with no tax or tip. Then we bought a few mixed drinks.
This is my reason for thinking it won't be a good deal for us! I like to eat the food too much! And there's just not enough room to eat everything I want & drink all the time! Where did you find the pour your own beer station?

I see tons of posts for why Cheers is worth it but have any of you regretted getting it?

Last time we cruised to Cozumel, we booked a last minute excursion for shopping & beach for $30. I can't find it on the website. Is this something only available onboard?

The upper deck (6) on the Fantasy class ships, is one of my favorite decks. It is sandwiched in between 2 floors, where there are no public areas, except on deck 7, forward. I would definitely choose deck 6, not necessarily for the view, but for the close proximity to the "fun" decks. I usually like to walk the stairs and not wait for elevators. Deck 6 is a much closer walk than 2 floors below. I guess it would have to depend on how much extra it would be.
It's only $10 more but it's all the way on the back. We like aft but last time we liked being near elevators. We've never been on this ship so I'm not sure where anything is located.

We are getting ready to book on the Fantasy. The only window rooms available are deck 4 & 6. But 6 would be an upgrade. However, there are rooms available on the back on 6 also. I'm wondering if 4 is too low to have a good view or if it really will be much of a difference between the 2 floors.

I wish I was on this weekends cruise. They ended up with a sweet deal and a day in Key West.

I definitely wouldn't mind being on it either! Just wouldn't want it to get cancelled & then not be able to get on another one.

We were just looking at booking a cruise in August on the Fantasy out of Mobile. I noticed she is having propulsion problems at the moment. Do you think this could be a long term issue? We could go out of NO but Mobile is closer. Just don't want it to get cancelled.

On our cruise this week, they took the longest married couple, then with the newest married couples & mid-range married couples, they had a makeout contest to determine who got to go onstage.

As we were coming back through customs yesterday, my license was lost somewhere between the customs agent & the car. I didn't realize until I got home. Is there anything that can be done to find it or should I just report it missing & get a replacement? I tried calling the port but haven't heard back.

"The following number is to be used as an emergency contact number for family members not traveling with our guests. In the event of a true emergency, family may contact our call center at 1-800-227-6482 on a 24/7 basis."
I hope you'll never need it.
Thank you! I hope not either. I will have peace of mind knowing if there was an emergency at home, they could let us know. I will be calling home several times as well.

Grandparents are keeping the kiddos while DH & I have a getaway. Can they contact us on the ship in the case of an emergency? Our youngest is a heart baby & I would feel better if they could contact us if needed. I'm one nervous mama! 😬

How do you find these rolls calls on FB?

I bring a soft side Yeti cooler as a carry-on on every cruise. We drive to Galveston, so I put the cans in there with no problem.
We order water to be delivered and then ask our cabin steward to keep it full.
.
Yes, that's what I'm wanting to do. Thanks!

On a scale of 1-10......an easy 8! The ship is very comfortable and easy to figure out. The only reason I didn't score it higher is the outdoor seating areas. We aren't "sun" people but we still love to be outside. On the outside covered area (deck 3) there weren't many chairs. We like normal chairs, not lounge chairs, and had a hard time getting them. Have fun!!!
I'm a little sad there is no serenity area but I'll be ok on my balcony if we can't find seating!

We are sailing on her in 2 days. We've mainly been on older, smaller ships so I don't think the older part will bother us. Never experienced a lot of the things this ship has to offer (Guy's, Blue Iguana, Alchemy, Dive-in Movies, etc.). This is our first time cruising without the kids. We will have a great time no matter what ship we are on for sure!

So why start now? You can order 6 packs of soda or mixers to be delivered to your cabin.
I thought about that but $10 for 6 is crazy to me. DH always gets bottomless bubbles but I'm usually ok without until day 3. I like to drink the little tiny cans too. It would be nice to have a few in the room just in case.
-
All I can find in the policy is cans must be sealed so I'm hoping I can pack them in a small lunch cooler? I've never taken drinks onboard before.

Enjoying your videos! What was the excursion called in Cozumel? Through Carnival? We sail on Triumph in 3 days!

With the tip increase, I searched for a new breakdown but have been unsuccessful. It seems like they have grouped it all together. So my question is, how would you remove half the tips from stewards only & know it's not dividing the reduced tips among everyone who served you during the cruise? I feel they intentionally took away the breakdown for this reason.
-
Nope. They change them - I think once at best - on a 7 day cruise. They are just really good at making a nice tight bed! They will of course change them if the are obviously dirty:rolleyes:
You of course get fresh sheets when you board...:D
Think about it - have you ever seen a pile of sheets in the halls during the cruise like you do the morning you disembark?
I'm ok with that but it still feels nice I guess because they have them made up so well 😁
-
.......when you say clean sheets, do you think they change the sheets every day??

Why would they not change the sheets? Are you saying they don't put clean sheets on the bed??
-
I'm not really picky about it but I like twice a day service if for no other reason than I love to nap on a made up bed with clean sheets. 😬 If we choose to keep twice a day, will the stewards hate us?

Do you feel shore excursions not offered by Carnival are safe?
in Ask a Cruise Question

We just booked Maya Chan in Costa Maya, not through Carnival. With all of the things happening in Mexico, my cruise mates are scared to go or even drink while off of the boat. I'm not really concerned. I've read nothing but great things! I know there is always a risk but how can I convince them that where we are going is safe?
