Thanks to all that have posted here on the Escape...I have been following along for a long time. We are booked to sail on Dec 5. Looking forward to try our first NCL cruise. I have not seen any posts on coffee on the escape. I enjoy a good cup.....We have a balcony cabin and see they have a single cup machine there..I assume the coffee was ok using that machine..as for the coffee in the Atrium, how was it? Is it self serve? Also is just deserts there or do they have sandwiches there....

We have a cruise booked for December 5 2015..this will be our first NCL cruise. I have been reading all I can...Am I correct to think that the deck plans for the Escape will be similar to the Breakaway and the Getaway..this is a great thread. Thanks.

We just booked a cruise today for the Escape in December...this will be our first time on NCL...So looking forward to it. It will also be a surprise for our Son and his Girlfriend as they are booked and we will surprise them in Miami...should be exciting...

We just got back on Sunday. We booked through Native Way Water Sports before we left on our cruise...It was a great tour. they had a driver meet us at the port who drove us to the Marina where we were met by Capt. Chris. It was a great experience. Can not say enough about our day. We went to Sting Ray City and also snorkelled at a couple of stops. It was a day to remember.

Just off the Freedom yesterday and you can get Starbucks at the cafe promenade on deck 5. I do not drink Starbucks so am not sure what is offered.

Sitting at the Orlando airport waiting for our flight back to PEI. We had a great vacation on Freedom Of The Seas. Weather was great as were the seas. The crew was fantastic. We had four new cruiser with us and are now hooked. Already looking At booking a cruise next spring. Will try and post a review after we arrive home.

Just watched the Freedom Of The seas sail out of Port Canaveral as we will be on her this time next week. wooo hooo...there will be eight of us sailing with four newbies...hard to believe after nine months of planning and obsessing that will be us next week. Looking at being on deck 12 waving our Provinces Flag (PEI) for our family and friends to see us...May try and take notes throughout the week and post a review. This will be my wife and I's fourth Royal cruise in the last few years....

A very good beginning...we will be sailing on Freedom two weeks from tomorrow....it has been a very long with here in eastern Canada and looking forward to some sun and a cruise...will be following along as we are also doing the western Caribbean..

What sailing is the price drop on?

Hi Enjoying your review of the Freedom. We are cruising on her April 2014 and doing the western itinerary...My wife and I have cruised several times and on this cruise we are taking four first time cruisers with us.

I see you board on deck four. To give the new cruiser the biggest WOW effect of the promenade. Would we enter by Boleros and use the stairs or by the Schooner Bar. Our friends have not traveled very much and we are hoping to make this the best vacation they ever have...Thanks in advance....Wade

can you put a 24pack or water and 12 cans of coke in a box and put your luggage tag on it? Will that work, or is carry on easier for the water and coke?

 

I don't want to carry too much durnig my carry on, so I'm wondering what is the best solution. Some people say they just slap their luggage tag on, but I don't know what they mean, if they mean on the 24pk alone without covering it, or puting it in a box or something.

We just got home from sailing on The Explorer out of Bayonne NJ. I put 24 cans of soda in a small kit bag and had a luggage tag put on. We also had 12 bottles of water. They all arrived in our cabin with no problems.
