  1. Yes, you understand my question correctly.

From the photographs I have seen it looks like 18102/18702 have a totally private balcony as they have a solid wall on both sides, rather than a wall and a divider. Please forgive the rather pixelated image, but I think it illustrates the point I am trying to make.

  2. Looking at pictures of the Norwegian Bliss it looks like 18102/18702 have their own self-contained balcony. All other cabins on deck 18, with the exception of the Owners Suites, appear to share the balcony space with another suite and there is a divider in place to split them.

Also, looking at external images of the ship, it looks like these two suites may be slightly wider than other H6 cabins.

Has anyone sailed in either of these suites and can confirm my observations?

    Thanks

  3. Exactly,   and your "experience"  isn't unique.   There are MANY seasoned long time travelers.    And NO ONE,  has a crystal ball.

Why waste your time,   guessing?    (don't want an answer from you)

I appreciate you taking the time to share your opinion.

  4. @sammysetra

Have you included in your "balance of probability" thoughts all possibilities of what is going to happen to the Coronavirus?  What each country is going to do about accepting cruise liners?   What about getting crew on airliners and having them accepted at their embarkation port?   Are Americans going to continue being persona non gratia for travel to many countries?

I agree with @Budget Queen in her comment above.

Nobody knows what is going to happen with Coronavirus.

The points you have raised make me think that I am correct in my view that a TA calling in Portugal (Azores and Madeira) and Spain (Canaries) is unlikely when these destinations have had relatively few Covid cases. Why would NCL operate two TA’s to move ships around when they can just keep the Epic in the Caribbean and the Breakaway in the Mediterranean?

  5. What's the point in "guessing"????     It's ALL speculation-   and you'll get some people,  who'll hang on to some random shred-  and  move it to claims of fact.

    Wait for an official notification.

I’d like to think I’m actually looking at the balance of probability based on 35 years in the travel industry where, amongst other tasks, I was responsible for crew and asset scheduling.

  6. By my reckoning the Star, Dawn, Jade, Getaway, Breakaway, Bliss and Encore are all spending their summer 2020 tied up here in Europe.

I have a reservation on a TA from SJU to BCN on the Epic in April 2021. With a large percentage of the fleet on this side of the Atlantic I’m thinking that it’s unlikely that it will go ahead.

The Breakaway is planned to operate Caribbean cruises next year from MIA so I’m thinking the Epic will take up that roster and the Breakaway will operate her schedule from BCN.

Any thoughts?

  7. I've had a few damages,   but I don't use buttons.     I think the best-  fact-  don't send anything out, that you care about.    [emoji846]

And with all the new qualifiers-   all those added points for canceled cruises.   I don't know how they are going to keep up with all the perk laundry,  when there are hundreds of participants on board?

You make a good point. Our next cruise, if it goes ahead, will be a TA on the Epic. We’ll be travelling from Europe so bringing 14 shirts each to avoid the laundry isn’t really an option.

To be honest, it’s the least of my concerns at the moment, but I saw a thread on laundry so I thought I’d ask the question.

  8. Looking to the future, when sailings resume I have a mundane laundry question.

Has anyone else suffered damage to buttons when using the laundry service? We’ve sailed on the Epic; Breakaway; Getaway and Escape in the last 10 years. In almost all cases when our laundry came back there would be buttons cracked, halved or missing altogether.

We don’t have any problems at home and, for what it is worth, our shirts are high end (Boss/Lacoste/Gant).

Just wondering how other cruisers handled things when there was damage and what NCL did to resolve the issue.

    Thanks

  9. Hi

I'm planning to book a Bermuda cruise on the Norwegian Breakaway in May, 2017. I wonder if previous cruisers could take the time to comment on these two points:

    i. Would choosing a cruise in May be okay weather wise? I know weather patterns vary and there are no guarantees but I am anxious to avoid rough seas as much as possible. Would travelling in May be more or less likely to be impacted by seasonal weather patterns?

ii. When the ship berths at Kings Wharf does it normally face the same way? I'm trying to work out if we wanted a sea view whilst in Bermuda should I book a starboard or port sided room. If the berth varies then I'll just take pot luck!

Your input would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
