A few questions...
If you buy the drink package, are the tax and tips added on?
How much is tax and tip on top of the package?
If you wait until you sail to purchase the package, do you
save on the tax as we are not in NY anymore????
Thanks! Still trying to figure out if the packages are worth it
and when is best to purchase it.......and which one is the best
value.

This review was FABULOUS! Thanks for taking time to write and take the photos!
We are going on the Allure(hubby and I and several Smoothies/Hooligans who we've met on prior Serenade cruises!) in November 2011....after spending my Sunday morning reading this...I am beyond psyched! And my first impression of the "BIG" ships was never.....but after watching the Oasis pull out of Nassua I said...we have to do it!!! And we hope to take our girls on it in June 2012....IF I can figure out how to pay for its high rates!!!
I need to win lotto!!!

Remind me not to visit San Juan in January!!!

Last year I bid for a precruise hotel, resort and got the El San Juan...great place!
However, we rented a car for 24 hours and ended up in Old San Juan most of the time.
Didn't really have much time to enjoy the pool/beach/etc
So...now this year...I booked the Sheraton in Old San Juan precruise to party and tour
the city...meet up with cruise critc friends...
And the Intercontinential for post cruise to relax, enjoy the beach and "decompress"
before we go home.
I used priceline for a "resort" hotel (because as last poster said, they are all nice
places) and www dot hotelplusportel dot com to book a cheap rate at the Sheraton
in Old San Juan.

I just bid $110 for Resort/San Juan area
(They rejected my $100 offer)
I got Intercontinental for total of $130.42 for Sat Nov 21
Post cruise on the Serenade of the Seas
Last year we got El San Juan Hotel & Casino and LOVED it
This year we decided we needed this type of place post cruise, not
pre cruise like last year...to relax on beach or at pool before we go home!
This year we want to stay in Old San Juan pre cruise...
To party the night before we leave!
What do you suggest to get us a room here on priceline on Fri Nov 13th???
I am willing to try hotwire....but never used it before and am a bit confused
Any help or suggestions???

Need some advice...I want to bid for a room at the Old San Juan Sheraton
precruise for Nov 13 and for El San Juan postcruise on Nov 21....is it
too early?? Which should I use...Priceline (I've used once before) or the
other one?? What is a reasonable bid?
