We also saw many penguins from Puerto Madryn when we took a tour to Punta Tomba. Could get right up,to them . They are the gentoo penguins so smaller but there were many of them. Could book a private tour or join one that has already formed and has space.

Probably off topic but am thinking of booking Volendam from Singapore to Vancouver in 2015. Which would be the better deck Dolphin or Main? Have not cruised with HAL so am worried about the noise from Lower promenade deck if we book main deck. Any answer would be helpful.

We are doing the falls on our own. However, we are flying in earlier for the cruise and will have 5 days in BA before the cruise. I would do the falls on my own if I had extra time in case of delays.

I think I am brain dead with the changed bus schedule.

We are arriving at Hernesaaren in Sept. My first stop will be for the island. I take bus #14 and get off??? On the ferry to the island, where do I go to see the ferry passing by?

I know I have read your post somewhere but for the life of me cannot find today.

After walking around the island, we want to go to the Rock Church. Is it walkable from the ferry or do we atke the bus? And if bus, which one?

At the end of the day which is the best way to get back to the port?

We are going to be in Warbemunde on a Sunday ( arriving on the Emerald). if we buy the Meckelburg ticket to get to Scherwin, can we use it from Warnemunde befor 9:00 as this is a Sunday and it is good from 3:00 a.m? Or do we need to buy the local ticket to get to Rostock?

Thanks. I have read Anni's instructions now but am hesitant to buy the tickets in advance as last year my cousin was on the Emerald and they were not able to dock in Warnemunde. if we buy the tickets they are not refundable.

I have a question that probably has been asked many times. is it possible to visit Scherwin from the ship terminal in Warnemunde.

I know that we would need to take the train to Rostock and then switch to another train. Not sure which one and the times.

Or should we spend our time in Rostock and Warnemunde? is it better to take a boat to Rostock and return by the teain or vice versa?

Your help is greatly appreciated as I am starting to panic .

Thanks so much for the info on the cost of the day pass and that it is available from the driver. I think we are going to get off as early as possile and head for the island, take in the views and then return to the city and then do our walking tour on our own.
