  1. I won a $100 "spa credit" and it had so many restrictions, I gave it away. Tried to use it on a spa pass. Could not use it on that. Tried to use it on a massage, it was not valid on that massage but was valid on a massage that was 2 1/2 times the cost. Tried to use it on a promo, not valid with that. Tried to use it on a port day. Not valid as it defines a port day as only the time the ship is in port - not for that day. The time I chose ran over a few minutes past when the ship was scheduled to leave so it was not valid. I got so fed up I gave this "spa credit" to 14 different friends. Each one gave it back to me telling me there was nothing they could use it for. Finally, a 15th friend was able to use it after spending over $300. What a croc. I will never waste my time trying to win one of these "credits" again.

  2. I was in an inside cabin - sail away rate. I bid $170.00 to upgrade 2 levels to a balcony, but the bid was not accepted. Others that had bid between $140-$155 were accepted. I think they might go by what you paid plus the bid amount or status level when giving out the upgrades. The ones that did get the upgrades booked well before I did and got the package deals at a higher cost. Still had a great time! Any cruise - upgrade or not - is a wonderful opportunity.

  3. Kim,

This review is awesome. The amount of time and energy you put into writing this and posting all these pictures for others to enjoy is a true reflection of what a charming person you are. I enjoyed meeting you and had a great time in the Dungeon with you, Jackie and the rest of the party crowd. Please email me at potomacboater2004 at yahoo dot com. I have lots of great pictures to email to you and Jackie. Thanks again and I hope our paths cross on another cruise again in the future!

  4. Thinking of doing a cruise from Baltimore 4 /13/13 a repo cruise does any one know if they have a bus service from nj to the Baltimore port.

Take Greyhound. The Baltimore travel plaza is just on the other side of the the tunnel from the port. You can easily get a cab to the port from the Travel Plaza. You might want to also check out MegaBus

  5. No, it's too much trouble for you to look back at post #1780 where you already have the link to Royal Caribbean printed in red!

This is the 2nd time you've caused trouble by not paying attention (the first being my posting of my deal for Carnival Miracle sailing on 12/16 where you doubted the price I quoted because you were looking at the rates for the 12/24 sailing). I'm more than happy to help people out but I cannot abide passive-aggressive behavior.

"Caused Trouble"??? By asking a question??? Why are you getting your panties all in a wad? For the record, I did NOT comment anything about the Carnival Sailing you are referring to. You obviously have me confused with someone else (search your threads for the Carnival cruise you referred to and you'll see). While I appreciate the help and the insights on sales, there's absolutely no reason for you to be a total jerk about it. Chill or at least go back on your meds.

  6. There are lots of good deals this week on RCI's Tuesday sale at: http://www.creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Multi_Dest/Special_Offers/rci_sales_event.pdf

Especially the 7 day Med cruises, most of which have a 150% single supplement and very low fares. Of course the flights to/from the US would not be very cheap! :)

How do you get these .pdf fliers on the sales? I get the RCCL link to the preview sale, but I really like it in the flier format you posted. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I almost booked it until I realized it's a one way to Panama.

22-Nov Miami, Florida Depart 4:00 PM

    23-Nov Cruising

    24-Nov Cruising

25-Nov Colon, Panama Arrive 8:00 AM

Are you going to stay there a few days or try to fly back on Thanksgiving Day?

See above reply for flight details. The ship departs Thanksgiving day. If you book a RT from Panama City to NY (with the return flight back to Panama City next April) and take the ship to Baltimore next year, it may be a good deal. I'm sure it would be dirt cheap to return to NY from Baltimore.

  8. See post #1770. The airfares from Pty are pretty high so unless someone needs a cheap way to get from Miami to Panama this is not a good deal.

Air fares are very high from Panama (unless you fly to Fort Lauderdale). I am using airline miles to book a RT ticket with the return back to Panama in April 2013 to catch the same ship to Baltimore via San Juan - so the only airfare for me is to Miami ($59).
