That is automated response sent to everybody.  Did you check your personalizer to see if it had been applied?  In my recent experience it is applied almost immediately or at least within a day. They don’t notify you when it’s done.

Thank you.  I checked and it has been applied so they don't always inform you, even though the automated response says they do.

I sent in an email with my investment report this afternoon and received the shareholder credit applied to two different cruises in a record 16 MINUTES!

Somebody's really on the ball today. A big kudos from me to them.

That's interesting.  I submitted mine (via email) on Monday and got an immediate response that it would take up to 21 days for it to be processed and that I would receive another email when that happened.  I don't understand this kind of discrepancy.

I believe 6088 has a full shower and no bath.

My apologies for posting false information.  I should have known better as I saw a long time ago a video of 6091 showing the combination.  I just forgot.  Belfastman, I note in a prior comment that you stayed on deck 8 Owner's Suite.  Do you know if 8067 has the combo?  I hope not.  Thanks.

  4. The spreadsheet does not give any information about this cabin.  As there is no new current information posted on it, I am not sure if any of the cabins on Onward appear on the spread sheet.

When I was getting ready for my cruise on the Onward, there was information posted on cruise critic regarding the Owner Suites.  The person posting stated that Owner Suites on the port side all had the combination tub like structure with shower and the starboard Owner Suites had the full shower. Mine was 7119 (starboard) and had a magnificent shower.  If this information is correct, 6088 would have the combination.

  5. Cabin Number:  7119  (Owners Suite).

    Ship:  Onward

    Month/Year:  Feb/March, 2023

    Choose Again:  Definitely

Noise:  No issue.  Of course being at aft there will be vibrations when docking at ports.

    Balcony Size:  Large

Comments:  Beautiful suite.  Well laid out size wise and comfortable decor.  The shower is wonderful.  I would rate it best suite on the ship!  Hope to experience it again in the future.

I FINALLY GOT IT!! The Celebrity web site wouldn't save the deletion of my Celebrity number until I clicked on my initials at the top right of the page and then clicked on "Past Cruises". Then, a box popped up ask if I wanted to save my changes and I said yes, of course. That is what I had to do to get my Celebrity number off the web site. I don't know why the original save button wasn't working. I went back to my Loyalty page  to add the number back and, lo and behold, my points are back on both sites! Yay!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I had tried a number of times with no success.  Then you posted, I followed your advise and everything worked.  Much appreciated.

Thank you so much!!!  Great news, so I'll keep my 7119.  Your information saved me from requesting a change.  Much appreciated.

One thing to consider for deck 8, is that the Sunset Verandah is directly above you. You might hear some chair/table scraping noises?  We've always chosen Deck 6 or 7 CW based on past experience in a CC under the patio. If you're an early bird, then scraping noises might not make any difference.

That was one of the reasons I chose deck 7, however, I think I would prefer some noise to dealing with the particular tub/shower combination as shown in prior photos.  Just to clarify, I was not suggesting that the Onward Owner Suites on deck 6 and 7 were "handicapped suites", but that the tub was the kind I have seen in commercials on tv for people who would have difficulty stepping into a regular tub.  I still haven't made the change but if anyone knows first hand if any of the Owner Suites on Onward (except for deck eight), have just the shower, please let me know.  Thank you.

  9. If I am understanding prior comments about the Owner Suites on Onward, those on Deck 7 (according to "2nd Sailing" and the video from "arubaaruba" of Owner Suite 6091 those suites all have a combination handicapped tub/shower combination, but perhaps the 2 Owner Suites on Deck 8 have a different configuration ie. a regular shower.  If anyone can either confirm or dispute these conclusions, I would be very grateful as I am currently booked in an Owner's suite on Deck 7 and could change now.  I would prefer not having the tub/shower combination. I have looked at the deck plans, but cannot find the answers.  Thank you.

We're still on board and I can't open your link. Internet is hit and miss on this transatlantic crossing. Question for you - did you have the tub/shower combination or a walk in shower? We're in owners suite on deck 7 and have the combination. Someone we met in deck 8 owners suite have a walk in shower.

I am in 7119 in February.  Is that your current cabin?  If not, do you know if 7119 also has the tub/shower combination?  If so, I will try to change to either deck 8 or 6 (both currently are available).  If you have any recommendations, I would appreciate receiving them.  Thank you.

  11. Just received an email from my travel agent who had checked with Seabourn.  She said that I would receive $1100 on board credit for the change.  According to her, the dock space overcrowding issue was in Astoria not Vancouver.  The ship is now scheduled to leave Honolulu 6 hours earlier than previously scheduled so both of my paid plane tickets must be changed at higher cost.  The T.A. said that Seaubourn would not compensate me for additional plane costs.  This would be my first time on Seabourn (earlier reservation trip cancelled due to pandemic) so not presently happy with the cruise line.

Our cruise wasn't scheduled for April, it was scheduled for May 2020. I know that sometime prior to May, MSC made the decision to cancel our cruise due to Covid. Whether they did it in April or March, I honestly don't remember. I just know that it was after final payment date. And you're correct about the title of the thread, but people very often bring in extraneous information about different months, topics, even other cruise lines, so the title of the thread isn't (unfortunately) a guarantee that every post is relevant to it. It also wasn't clear from your prior post whether you'd asked for a cash refund or a future cruise credit. In any case, it's great that your agent was contacted. Let's hope it all works out now.

Thanks.  I read your original post wrong and thought your cruise was in April rather than that was when it was cancelled.  Cheers.

It's hard for me to offer any advice, there's so much we don't know about your particular situation. For instance:

    1. Why are you trying to get a refund for a cruise in March 2020? Did you cancel or was the cruise cancelled? (I'm guessing it was cancelled by MSC due to Covid but I don't know your situation)

    2. If you cancelled, when did you do that? Were you beyond final payment period?

    3. What were the terms of the refund? Were asking for a cash refund or did you want FCC? Also, typically MSC refunds the government taxes to your credit card. Did you check with your credit card issuer? Did you close the card in the meantime?

    4. What reason did your TA give as the FCC having been given in error? Who told her that? What was that person's name?

    5. You say you never received an email. When was it supposedly sent? Are you sure it didn't go to your junk mail folder?

We had a cruise cancelled by MSC in April 2020 for a cruise that was supposed to happen in May 2020. We asked for and received a FCC three weeks later. So to answer your question as best I can, there's nothing wrong with MSC.

I know I asked you a lot of questions but it's impossible to make a determination without knowing all of the facts.

I was going to respond to you point by point, however, just received an email from my travel agent saying that MSC had just called her, apologized for the erroneous information the agent had given her about my future cruise credit being voided, and that they would now start processing my new reservation but that it would take a day or two.  Therefore, I will withhold further judgement.  I do appreciate it when a mistake has been acknowledged.  However, I will say that I regularly check my credit card purchases and credits (and it is now over 6 months since I was told that MSC would credit back my government fees) and MSC has never followed through with this.  I also always look at my junk mail before deleting.

You are a lucky person to receive your FCC in three weeks, however, if you note that your cruise was scheduled for April and this topic is "March Refunds Only---is there a Big Black Hole" indicates that there were others who had a difficult time dealing with the March, 2020 cruises.

  14. After 6 months of relentlessly trying to get a refund for a cruise in March of 2020, I finally was able to get a "future cruise credit" around October of 2020.  I was also told that the government fees would be credited back to me.  The latter never happened, by the way.  Yesterday my travel agent tried to book another cruise for me with MSC, using the future cruise credit as partial payment (I was going to spend an additional $5,000 for the cruise).  She was told that the future cruise credit had been given in error, that it had been voided and that I had been informed of all of this via an email.  NONE OF THIS IS TRUE.  I never received such an email and there is absolutely no reason for MSC to void the future cruise credit.  What is wrong with MSC?  Any suggestions?
