  2. Thanks Boris looks like no more cruising for us this year I am a healthy 73 but now only good for the knackers yard according

to the so called experts. We have cruises booked tor april and july now just waiting to see how long it will take for monies

paid to be refunded. Looks like the cruise operators might as well close down for the next 3 months.

Nothing we can do but wait and how it all pans out.

  3. yes but not easy 3 yrs ago we were delayed for over24 hours we used the resolver website which is long winded but effective

tui Thomson as it was called then just kept delaying but they paid up in the end.

    Good luck.

  4. I agree prices for booking seats are getting out of hand have just booked ours for barbados £35 each way is a rip off

would rather spend it on trips or booze. But have bitten the bullet and paid as 9hour flight and do not want to risk getting

bad seats. Also have paid extra for security fast track, flying is no longer the enjoyable experience that it once was.

However we are still looking forward to our caribbean cruise.

  5. Just had notification from celebrity that we have now lost a port stop on our december cruise on connie and will now have an extra sea day. This will according to celebrity enhance the guest experience, cant see how losing a port for a sea day will do that. Should we now receive a refund of port tax?

  6. Hi ian what a hell of a flight that was as long as you have lodged a claim with Thomson and have not had a positive response you can then go direct to CEDR who will them pursue the claim for you. They will then formally advise Thomson of their interest and Thomson will no doubt still spin it all out as long as possible it took us 7 weeks to get paid after we went to CEDR. I found the staff at CEDR to be most helpful. The compensation you are entitled to thanks to the EU is 1200 euros .Good luck you will be paid but you have to keep at it, P&O did not want to know and we will not be giving P & O or Thomson any of our hard earned cash ever again. Let me know how you get on via this format I will moniter this post.

  7. two, dont take it all so personal the first 2 cruises were maybe 3 star but standards have slipped again these are only my personal feelings.this is not just applicable to P&O many companies are chasing the bottom line and often customer service is the first thing to go.

  8. 4 with P&0

arcadia, adonia and 2 on britannia all in suites on last cruise had major problems with flight

and P&O did not want to know also britannia which is a nice ship now has the feel of butlins, standards have slipped. We have now moved on to celebrity with 2 cruises booked with them for this year.

,We loved our cruise on Adonia good service etc etc.

  9. After a long 4 month delay and a robust conversation with Thomson customer services!!!

finally received 1200 euros flight delay compensation, Thomson were difficult to deal with but with the help of the Resolver website and CEDR arbitration service we got there in the end.

Thomsons attitude has ensured that they will never again have me as a customer.

  10. Thanks for your response thomson have ignored all contacts from ourselves we have now passed it to CEDR

who will let us know by 17 th march. It is clear Thomson hope if they ignore the problem it will go away, we however

are made of sterner stuff. One thing is certain we will never travel with Thomson again.
