Thanks so much! This worked for me too :D
Awesome!! I have come to the realization that I can google pretty much anything and get an answer! Lol!!

Unfortunately with the implosion of Photobucket, that thread no longer has images.
I know....BUT, there is a way around it! I googled "how to fix photobucket 3rd party hosting" There is a youtube video that walks you through it... go to 'tools', then 'more tools', then 'extensions', then 'get more extensions', then 'fix photobucket hotlink fix', then click 'add to chrome' and it worked! I was able to see all of the menus! as long as you do it in the chrome search engine.

There is a thread by 'flagmom' called Sunshine 8 Day Menus from the 2/24 sailing. She posts pics of every menu!

So is cabin 6234 a connecting cabin? Can't follow the link
According to the deck plans on Carnival website, it is not a connecting cabin.

I'm beginning to think there's a conspiracy regarding menus on the Vista--granted I know they are all just about the same except for the Port of Calls options. But I've been asking everywhere & looking everywhere for both the 8 & 6 day menus on found none, as the ship is going on 10 months now. Well maybe no conspiracy but really- there's menus for every other ship all the way down to 3 day cruises but no Vistas
There is a post listing the Vista 6 day menus! :D
Its in a thread by Serene56 called Vista 6 day fun times.
Thanks Serene!!
It was posted last night
If I knew how to link it to this post I would but I don't know how to do that - sorry!

Any chance you have the menus for dinners in the MDR? Was hoping to see ahead of time so that we can figure out which night we should go to the steak house.
-
We have been to both. We loved Mr. Sanchos. Nice beach, pool with swim-up bar, the food on the all-inclusive menu was very good...loved that it was not a buffet - they give you a menu and you order what you want and they bring you as much as you want. It's fresh and yummy. Very relaxing and fun day. Playa Mia was pretty good. We chose it primarily because of the pools/slides that they have since we have kids. Food not as good and not as 'private' of an experience. Felt more crowded and touristy. Would go back to Mr. Sanchos in a heartbeat. Would probably pass on Playa Mia again.

Well, you can order a drink and wait the mandatory 5 minutes between drinks, and then order a shot to add to your drink. :D
And there is your double shot drink!

I know you have already decided but just in case you waiver.......
What is the top pic? Lamb Chops? Looks amazing!

Hi All,
I just reserved these 2 staterooms on the Vista for spring break. Usually I book our cruises myself online but I decided to call Carnival this time because I was having difficulty locating connecting ocean view staterooms on my own. This set of cabins (1465 and 1469) have the little "connecting staterooms" icon when I look at the deck plans on the website. However, when I looked at it on a different location (still on carnival's website!) it doesn't have the icon indicating that they are connecting. And then other websites that show deck plans - some say yes and some say no! The woman I spoke to from carnival assures me that they are connecting but I'm not sure how she knows for sure since there is varying info. Anyone know how I can find out for sure if they are connecting rooms?? By the way, an obvious solution may seem like I should have just chosen a different pair of connecting rooms but unfortunately, there are no others available. Thanks for any help!

I second Little French Key in Roatan. We spent the day there and had a wonderful time.

Thanks Hawkeye. No, unfortunately, I haven't prepaid for any specialty dining yet. We have only been on one other NCL cruise so far and one of my favorite things was going to the various specialty restaurants each night.
I'm going to have to figure this out and decide if it will be worth it to book ahead or not.
So , if you don't buy a SDP but you do want to make reservations online before your cruise, how does it work with paying ahead of time (since the restaurants are now a la carte as compared to a set price per person?)
-
Haven't been on the boards much lately but I see that there have been even more changes going on with dining options. Can someone help me clarify what is the difference between UDP (which I know is unlimited dining plan) and SDP (which I assume stands for specialty dining plan)? Thanks!

You are my review-writing hero :D
I don't have any plans of cruising on this ship (simply because we live in Florida and there are many options from here), but I am reading this review because you wrote it!
Thanks for all of the hard work that you put into your reviews!

We (me, DH, DS 13 and DD 11) will be sailing on Getaway next April. I had us booked in 2 adjoining inside cabins, but yesterday switched us to 1 mini suite with large balcony. We are paying $150 more for the mini suite, but now also get the UBP.
I know the room will be tight. But I am hoping we can spill out onto the balcony for extra space.
Did I make the right decision? What do you think? Help me feel OK with my decision (big balcony but small room, UBP), or tell me I should go back to the 2 insides (a bit more space, 2 bathrooms, 2 closets, 2 tvs etc).
We struggled with this too. On our recent Getaway cruise, we had originally booked one regular balcony but the prices came down to the point where we were able to add on another (connecting) balcony for just a few hundred dollars more! Now we are spoiled! Love having connecting rooms so that my 2 daughters (both age 11) can have their own space and we can have ours.
We just booked the Escape for next spring and the prices are too high to do the same thing again :(. So, we booked a minisuite with large balcony hoping (like you) that the extra balcony space will help offset the tight feeling in the room. Although, I am going to watch the prices and see if they come down before final payment is due to switch to 2 connecting balconies again as that is the ideal way to travel for us.

On NCL it says book a suite and receive all 4 perks. I would assume a mini-suite is a suite and so gets all 4, or am I just an optimist?
Upgrade to mini suite is reasonable for the perks, going all the way to suite is not currently. Thanks
You are just an optimist. ;)
A mini suite is not in the same category as a suite. You pick one perk for a mini suite, same as for a balcony or oceanview.

How about a Cajun/creole restaurant? Gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish etouffee, muffuletta, bananas foster, beignets. That would be awesome!!
-
I can also vouch for being allowed to buy it for one. I purchased it for one of my children and not the other (in the same cabin).

Noodle Bar is now a complimentary restaurant for all passengers.
That's right, I forgot about that change!
-
But the other specialty restaurants that are not included (ocean blue, wasabi, noodle bar), you get a 20% (or 25%) discount. (I cannot keep up with the changes so I don't know if your discount will be 20 or 25%). Used to be 20% but they are changing that to 25 - just don't know the effective date of change.
You get this discount if you have the UDP.
-
Plus I'm long for a text message alert tone that sounds like the "bing, bong" you hear on board, but I can't find it.
Love this idea! :D

Newbie cruiser just booked very first cruise and having second thoughts on the stateroom category I've chosen. We are going on a 7 night trip with 3 ports and 3 full days at sea. I booked a gty inside for 3 guests (myself, mom and 18 yr son) and have been assigned 5833 which is the very last aft cabin on deck 5 and somehow feel I will regret my choice later.
Called my travel agent to ask about changing rooms and she said we could switch to a balcony room for $740 (total) more. The price of the upgrade is what it would cost me to add another passenger, so not cheap. If I "do" decide to upgrade, which deck should I choose given the following options 8,9,10 or 11,13,14?
One more question- looking at the available rooms, some say they specifically accommodate 3 or 4 guests, yet the size looks the same from the deck plans. What would be the difference be between the 2 rooms?
We were on deck 13 in a balcony and absolutely loved our location. It is an expensive upgrade but, you will be tight in an inside with 3 adults. What about an oceanview (window) room as a compromise between an inside and a balcony?
The difference between cabins that can accommodate 3 vs 4 is usually having a 4th (pulldown) bed - it drops from the ceiling.
