We will soon take our 6th cruise, this one in the Baltics and Scandinavia. This will be our first cruise with Travel Insurance coverage. Please give me some suggestions as to which company you use for this type of insurance. TIA

I'd give HAL's customer service dept a "C" at best. I called with a question but could hardly understand the off-shore HAL rep and maybe she couldn't understand me either. I had to restate my question 3 times. She said she needed to put me on hold for 1 minute. 48 minutes later she cam back on and asked if I was still there. She said she needed to transfer me to another rep....and then instead of being transferred I was cut off and got a dial tone. I have a PCC but she is on leave so I get someone different every time I call. I've found more information and more accurate information online than I have on my calls to HAL.

The referral works like this... A past passenger refers a new couple by extending to them a referral coupon. After final payment is made by the new passenger, each guest receives $400 shipboard credit for the next cruise. Hope this explains the concept..

PS No, I don't have any more coupons, and come to think of it, I haven't been mailed any for quite a while..

We just came off a Seabourn Odyssey cruise. No one ever mentioned referral coupons to us. I'm going to call Seabourn tomorrow and see if they still give them to cruisers. I'll post here if I get an answer.

We are going on the Nov 29 Rome to Ft. Lauderdale and our final payment has been made. We are travelling with another couple and would like to have a coupon for each suite if it is not too late. Can anyone help us? Thanks! email t-mccann@sbcglobal.net

I spoke with Robert at Seabourn at their office in Seattle today. We also have already made our final payment. He walked across the aisle to the "Club" department to ask. They said even though we had made payment, they would issue the referral coupon so long as they received it by prior to our date of embarkation. Some of the coupons may have an old address on them. Be sure to send them to" Seabourn - Club Dept., 300 Elliott Ave. West, Seattle, WA 98119.
