  1. My boys and I have done both. Having teenage boys it had to be one or the other (due to the amount of food they intake). Personally, I feel more catered to on a cruise and I really enjoy different stops and adventures. I also feel safer that they are taken care of, which help me relax. At the AI I felt a bit trapped because my kids really wanted to stay at the resort and hang out with other kids. Their reasons for preferring a cruise....1. Food was more available with more options and 2. at the AI kids would come and go at different times, so just as they were getting to know someone, they would leave. On the cruise you are all together for the duration.

  2. Just there last week. Loved the bobsled!!!! Swam at the pool and enjoyed the quiet skylift up and down. Our best day on Jamaica yet and we've been there 4 times.

I have heard that you can do the bobsled more than once for an additional fee. I can't find that fee anywhere....do you know what the cost is? We are scheduled through Carnival to do one ride but imagine we are going to love it and are hoping second and third rides may be at a reduced rate.

  3. Wash & Fold Special is $25 for the bag and you can send pajamas, socks, shorts, swimwear, t-shirts and underwear. How the clothing is returned as far as how neatly it is folded all depends on what ship you are on and who is doing the laundry.

I'm going on a 10day EOS and I was under the impression each member of the stateroom got 1 complimentary bag washed and folded halfway through the cruise, is tha not true?

  4. Well, this will probably be a bit too much detail for many cruisers... but for those (like me) who enjoy reading along with someone else's trip, sit back and enjoy!

    ................

And there’s our first day at sea! More of a diary than a trip log, I know, but hopefully some of the detail will be of interest to other cruisers.

I am thrilled to be along on your cruise, looking forward to your updates.....and I love the details. I'll be on EOS in a month! I'll save my questions for when you return....ENJOY!

  5. I admit it. I'm one of "those people" who pack their swimsuits in the carryon and make beeline for the hot tubs as soon as we board. So far, we've only cruised in April.

This February will be our 1st winter departure from NJ. You may think I'm crazy, but I'll ask anyway: Are the hot tubs open while docked in NJ during the winter months? If they're not, I won't bother packing our swimsuits in our carryon's

    TIA

According to the compasses I've found at least one will be open. It's on my list of questions for RADIO when he returns today on EOS. I love hot tubs in the winter! I'll race you there ;)

  6.

    Great information Meg.

I did book with Trinity for Springhill Dec. 10. Then found out booking direct was cheaper so I cancelled the res. It's been two days and so far they have not responded even after two emails and a phone call.

Did you ever have a problem with them getting back to you?

    thanks mimi

After 3 weeks of no email replies from RCCL, I threatened to cancel.....within 24 hours I got extremely thorough answers to my questions and an apology!
