  1. Okay, I'm one those people that stopped receiving emails from RCI about three ago. To no avail, I have tried everything I could to resolve the problem. When I called, they said they will mail out my tier level information at any time. That was two months ago. Has anyone received their information via snail-mail?

  2. I have no idea why they can't figure out why so many people stopped receiving e-mails. I've been told several times that they will generate a IT ticket to get the problem resolved. I to receive emails from Azamara and Celebrity but Royal Caribbean's stopped a few years a go. I started cruising exclusively with them in 2003. I've missed out on several offers from Casino Royale because of not receiving e-mails. Bugs me a major corporation can't figure this out. Argh!!

  3. On Liberty of the Seas in October. I was able to transfer free play earned directly from the machine to my credits. I did this many times during the cruise. It continues to build as long as you play. So yes, you can transfer funds directly to the slot machine. If you notice on your reservation, at the top left, it says "Instant Rewards". This is what the phrase means. :-)

  4. I think I'm also done with Casino Royale.

I called yesterday to book a cruise for the new release 2019 itinerary but was quoted a price that I can book on-line myself with my Diamond discount. They told me that they no longer can give casino rates until a year prior to my sailing. I have always been able to book at casino rates without a problem. They also told me that my $1,000 off certificate is only good if you sail within one year. I know it has always said that but they used to honor it anyway if you already had a cruise booked, which I do. In fact the casino discount they gave a week after I returned was greater than the certificate. She said there is no more budging on bookings and the offers are firm. I called back later in the day, because sometimes someone else is willing to work with you, but received the same information. I think I will stick to land based casinos and receive the much better offers the provide. I don't what all the hype was when they were saying they are revamping the program to better serve out customers. They revamped it to better serve their bottom line. Thanks for letting me vent. :-)

  5. I received the same offer and the same thing happened to me when I called. It seems the "bait and switch" tactic has been happening more and more. Not only with Casino Royale but with other offers; drink package sales, BOGO etc.

BUT, I still book with Casino Royale because you can't beat the rate, so far anyway.

  6. I just got off the LOS on Sunday. My VIP sticker was already on my card when I checked in at the pier. Also, the 5% was waived and was able to drink at the bar for free even when I wasn't playing. The bartender told me that as long as the casino is open, the drinks are free, playing or not playing. I was also told, cash rebates are gone, it's a free cruise from a selection of their choice or cash deducted from a cruise of your choice. From what I've read, it seems as each ship has their own way of doing things? I did receive a free cruise certificate for two in a balcony stateroom or $1000.00 off a cruise of my choice delivered to my stateroom.

  7. Sailing on Oct. 2nd on Liberty of the seas and I am a Club Royale member. Yesterday I decided to call and see if there was any events going on. There is and they said I did have any invitation. It's a $10,000 slot tourny and VIP BBQ Beach Bash. So they added me to the group. WOO HOO. I'm so glad I called. Has anyone ever been on the BBQ Beach Bash and is it fun? Is there shrimp on the barby?:)

  8. I was so glad to find this thread. I just got off the Navigator of the Seas on Sunday and was so disappointed. It was my first cruise being a Diamond member. I'm a solo traveler and it took a while to reach Diamond. I received a bag of butter cookies for reaching this level. Butter cookies, really? I received that last year as an Emerald. My expectations before the cruise were much more than a bag of cookies only to be so discouraged. But it's like what was said above, first time cruisers don't know what cutbacks they have taken. My first cruise was on Monarch of the Seas. There was always a nice gift waiting in your room upon arrival. Some of the cut backs are minor but they all add up to the appreciation of being loyal is not worth it. Some of the things I've noticed are; no more chocolates on your pillow, Crown and Anchor gifts, ability to watch full length movies in the room without paying for them, ordering selective items being served in the Dining room for room service, etc..

The chatter on the ship in the Diamond Lounge and around the ship was of how bad it is really getting. I'm booked in GS for next year but I am really considering if it is worth it any more. Well, sorry for venting but it was great to know I'm not the only one feeling this way.

  9. I know when I had my credit balance applied as an on board credit, the email they sent said one dollar. They explained that it would be the $300.00 that I earned but there system could not show it. It was $300.00 when I arrived on the ship. If you have a RCI account online, you can always log in and check your balance owed or call the Crown and Anchor Society.

  10. To reach the level of play that qualifies you to join the VIP club status you have to play the machine with your Sea Pass card inserted or show the dealer at the tables your card. You have to reach 2100 points to even be invited. They don't have this information posted any where, you have to ask for it. Keep in mind, this is how it is now, I have no idea what it will be in March of 2015.

  11. Curious if any one else has been told their cash rebates will expire on March 15th, 2015? While on-board, I was told I would be able to use my cash rebate towards my next cruise that I already have booked in October 2015. I was told this by the Casino Host. When I called Casino Royale when I got home, they tell me I can not use them, they have to be used on a cruise before March 15th, 2015 or they will expire. They will not honor the $500.00 in rebates I earned unless I go on another cruise before the expiration, I JUST GOT HOME. Any suggestions on what I can do?
