Good Evening, All ~ My husband and I had a river cruise booked for September 3rd which was included in the latest rounds of Viking cancellations. On July 9th, we opted for a refund rather than the value-added voucher and I am VERY pleased to say that our refund from Viking posted to our checking account this morning. Still awaiting a refund on our credit card for the deposit and insurance, but at least the bulk of our investment has been refunded. For those of you in the same "boat", I hope your experience is similar.

Just returned from Panama Canal on Coral - we had one in our stateroom the first evening.

The VM was generic - "please leave your name, booking number, contact phone number, and brief message and I will return your call in the order in which is was received". There was no mention of the move over offer.
I'm not losing any sleep over the missed offer - still have my balcony. All is good :D

Thanks, Michelle! Safe travels to you too! We fly out on Wednesday for a Thursday arrival, then it's on to Southampton for an overnight at the Dolphin Hotel. Are you attending the M&G?
-
Yes, I called a second time. Still no word, so I'm going on the assumption that Princess found enough folks willing to switch to an interior cabin. Glad for those who were able to take advantage of the offer. Maybe next time :D

I'm still waiting for a return call from Princess. I received a second email late last night regarding the Move Over, so I'm thinking there is big demand for balcony cabins. Congrats to Michelle19 for being able to take advantage of the offer. Free is always good!! Perhaps our paths will cross next week!

Still waiting for a call back. Keeping fingers crossed!

We're sailing on the Royal.

We're on the 12-day British Isles w/Dublin Overnight which sails on August 17th. The cruise is listed as completely sold out, so I'm not able to see any available cabins.

I just received a Move Over offer for an upcoming cruise. Actually it's a "move inside" offer - balcony stateroom to an inside stateroom - for the same sailing with 100% cruise fare refund as refundable OBC. I called the 800 number and left a message (within an hour of receiving the offer) that we were interested. Do you think Princess will return my call even if they no longer need my balcony cabin?

I was experiencing problems over the weekend, but tried again just now and was able to make purchases.

Maple Road - that's it.

Thanks, John Bull! I look forward to walking around Southampton, if only for a short while. My mother was born there (on Maple Street) in 1919 and her parents and three siblings emigrated to the U.S. in 1924.

My husband and I will be staying at the Dolphin Hotel on High Street in Southampton. Is there somewhere within walking distance that I can purchase a couple of bottles of wine? Thanks in advance!!

No, unfortunately the low dividers do not open. As a matter of fact, I don't think the metal divider could be opened either. The "openness" of the balcony wasn't much of an issue as we were surrounded by either family or pleasant passengers :) What I really didn't care for was the obstructed downward view because of the roof of the Safari Club. Other than that, though, I loved the Serenade of the Seas. Anxious to sail on her during a warm weather cruise when we can really enjoy all the outside spaces.

Bob - thanks for posting the pictures! We're traveling with two other couples and we have adjacent cabins, so having the open area between balconies may be convenient, especially during sail away and happy hour :)

In looking at the deck plans for Deck 7, it appears the balconies for cabins 7152-7170 and 7652-7670 are a bit larger. Can anyone confirm this for me? We're booked in cabin 7164 for an upcoming cruise and would love having a little more space on our balcony. Thanks!

Thanks, everyone, for the great ideas on how to spend our time in FLL. Special thanks to Caribill for pointing out the "small print" on the excursion descriptions. I must have overlooked it at first glance :)

My husband and I are doing the 14-day Caribbean Adventurer in November. Will there be any excursions available in Ft. Lauderdale on turnaround day for folks who aren’t disembarking? The ones listed in the Personalizer are all designated “Disembarkation” and include airport transfers. Do you have any recommendations for non-Princess tours if nothing is available? We’d like to get out and see some of the sights while the Ruby is in port. Thanks in advance!

I noticed on the bridge cam that the Caribbean is enroute to Roatan. Wonder what happened to Cozumel? Today is Monday, isn't it?!

I read somewhere on these boards that if you keep the door to the cabinet (where the refrigerator is located) open, it allows the air to circulate better and may keep the refrigerator a bit cooler. May be worth a try :)

I already have a cruise booked for April and it's fully paid. If I purchase stock now, will I still receive the OBC for this departure?
Sapphire Princess 2022 deployment?!

Just received the same email. While the change doesn't thrill me, I'm going to take a "wait and see" approach since there's still almost six full months before final payment is due and anything is possible. My first cruise with Princess was on the Sapphire and I was looking forward to sailing on her again. Not having a promenade deck or adequate outdoor viewing space (not to mention the tiny balconies) are the main negatives with the Royal.
