  1. We have booked our first Celebrity Cruise since prior to the pandemic and there is now an option for Stateroom Bar Set Up.  The price is 94.99 (in this case) per package but it does not fully explain the cost.  Can anyone shed some light on how it works?  For example is that the cost per day for the stateroom and is the set up enough for 2 people?  Any information will be greatly appreciated.

  2. We are new to Carnival, with the exception of me cruising on the original Mardi Gras as a teen in 1972 or 1973.  We are interested in the Faster to the Fun option and we are wondering if it is available on the Mardi Gras.  I just booked the Mardi Gras for a 7 day Western Caribbean in January 2024 and the Faster to the Fun is grey instead of black in the planner.  Does anyone know if this is not available on the Mardi Gras or if it is too soon for the opportunity to purchase it.  TIA

  3. I was born, raised and have lived most of my life in New England and was also born and raised on local seafood including my beloved lobster.  I now live in Florida and it is somewhat difficult to find a well cooked lobster.  Has anyone either in the MDR or other restaurant, paid the extra for a steamed lobster and if so, how was it, is it cooked in salted water and do you feel it was worth the extra $$.  TIA

  4. Personally, my husband and I are elderly and decided to give it a try.  For us to get on the ship earlier with less people, lunch without having to deal with the Windjammer buffet, VIP seating for shows, not having to lug around our carryon bags and getting to have a real breakfast each morning on our balcony is well worth it for us.  We also weighed the cost against the outrageous cost of the drink package for both of us (I know drink alcohol much less than I used to), the Key is a cheaper and better way to enjoy our cruise.

  5. Having a discussion with a family member regarding vaccination proof for boarding in Florida.  As I understand it, proof of vaccination is required by all passengers wanting to board regardless of state in which boarding for their cruise.  I am afraid that if they do not get vaccinated, that they will be denied boarding at the pier.  Is there anyone aware of anything different?

  6. Let people do as they will and only worry about yourself.  My last cruise I took my granddaughter because my husband was not feeling well so we video instant messaged him every morning to check in and to rest his mind that his wife and granddaughter were fine.  Please do not judge people when you are not in their shoes.

  7. 120 days to boarding Equinox - March 21st - 7 night Western Caribbean.  It has been an extremely long wait for this cruise.  We originally were booked for April of this year but my husband health prevented us from going at that time.  We did not have travel insurance but Celebrity allowed us to extend it out up to a year with no penalty nor loss of payment - we had already made final payment prior to my husband's health issue.  We worked with a fabulous customer service representative, Connie, who booked us on a 5 night Infinity just to hold the money and she told me to contact her when we were ready to finalize a trip which we did for the above mentioned cruise.  We can never thank Celebrity Cruises enough for their understanding and amazing customer service.  Loyal to Celebrity Cruises forever!

  8. We just received our guarantee Veranda cabin number on the Equinox.  It is a 2C cabin on deck 6 midship which is above a designated smoking area on deck 5.  Have any non smoking passengers found this to be an issue while sitting on your balcony while in port or underway?

  9. How soon before your cruise did you receive this offer and did you have the classic or premium package at the time of the offer?  My husband and I currently have the Premium so I called Celebrity to see if we could update to the plus package and was told that I already had a package and could not upgrade.  So now I am wondering if Celebrity was getting a lot of complaints to that.

  10. My husband and I are considering the White House, Beach Mansion Escape (not the all-inclusive) excursion through Celebrity while at Grand Cayman.  We are considering this because there will be approximately 13,600 passengers in port and we do not want to deal with trying to get a taxi and going to public areas of 7 Mile Beach.  Has anyone done this particular excursion and was it truly private for Celebrity passengers?  Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

  11. I wish I was waiting over an hour to board for my cruise.  With my husband's health issues (in which he was close to death) for which Celebrity let us push out our original cruise date up to a year out with no penalty nor loss of money, it will be 2.5 years waiting to board.  Only 147 days to go!  It will be a well deserved cruise!

  12. Very sorry for your loss as well.  Celebrity was wonderful to my husband and I this year.  We were scheduled to cruise on the Equinox this past April but my husband became extremely ill do to a botched colostomy reversal for which he almost died.  We also did not have trip insurance as we were both very healthy when we booked the cruise.  With a doctors note regarding his illness and almost 4 month hospital stay, Celebrity allowed us to extend out our cruise up to a year with no penalty nor loss of payment (final payment had already been made).  I worked with a wonderful customer service woman over the past few months and we were able to book the 7 day, March 21, 2020 voyage with all 4 perks included and only owe an additional $112!  We thank Celebrity more than we can express for their understanding and amazing customer service.  We have been loyal to Celebrity since 2002 and with this, we will always be loyal to Celebrity!!
