  1. Hello and Congratulations! We were the first wedding on Prima 10/12/2022. I'm attaching some pics. We were given the concourse on deck 8 for our ceremony and observation lounge for reception. Yes there are passersby but the ship did a great job of keeping them out of our wedding photos and too close to our events. It's a gorgeous ship and I think you'll find it to be as well!

  2. Just wondering if anyone has any idea when upgrade bid offers typically get sent out for MSC? We sail on 4/9/22 (our 1st time on the line) so a little over 30 days out now......We have used the bid program successfully on Royal and NCL previously. Anyone notice any differences with MSC's version?

    Thanks in Advance!

My first ever experience on NCL was in the Haven, through the older, better system of upsell. Since then have sailed twice and not won bids to the haven even up to and slightly above previous asking prices on some categories, this time I too paid more than I normally would have liked to be in the haven but absolutely think it's worth the cost. A regular room can still be awesome because it is after all vacation. But in my opinion, the haven is being spoiled in a way that just can't compare. It's the only way you can guarantee yourself pool, hot tub and lounge away from any type of line or crowd. In our case we just had a baby so we will need the extra space of a haven room bc will probably be spending more time than we otherwise would have in the room. The service the staff provides is exemplary, it's nice to come back to a spread of snacks waiting in the stateroom in the afternoon or being able to get reservations with ease. Going forward I cant imagine going back to a non haven category again.

  4. Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody has had any experience/luck bidding from lower category haven to upper without paying full asking price. The first time I sailed on the epic in Sept 2016 I was offered the 2bdrm ph via the old upsell dept, which btw I liked a lot better than bidding. Since upgrade advantage started i took my chances bidding on every category of haven from a m/s up to asking price or just below and didn't win any of them on 2 sailings. This time I wasnt willing to miss the haven all together so bit the bullet and we are currently in a forward ph on Escape in Oct. When bidding opens ideally want to move to aft ph, 2 bdrm, spa deluxe or o/s via bidding if possible from there so long as even a small savings off published rates. Any tips? Suggestions? Encouraging success stories? Thanks in advance

  5. We are on the 4/15 Escape sailing booked in a mid-ship mini suite. Received the upgrade email at exactly 80 days out. Minimum bids available were 400pp for forward penthouse or spa balcony, 500pp for haven balcony, 750pp for aft balcony, 1000pp for 2bdrm and 1500pp for owners suite. I did not have the option to low ball below the minimum. I do have the option to review and edit my bids. I'll decline sharing what my bids are/were until after the fact. Fingers crossed for success in the meantime!

I received exact same offers for 4/1 sailing on escape. Fingers crossed! I originally had a mid ship mini but was able to get a spa mini for no extra charge which you might want to check into if it's of interest to you . I was told on the phone that there had been a price drop after my initial booking. Good luck!
