  1. Thanks so much for the responses, everyone !

Yes, I forgot to add I'm in Australia. My first email to Princess was re-directed to their Captain's Club email address here in Oz, and the reply from them, but I still can't seem to access the necessary part of the page to update my cruise history. What's even stranger is that one of my children has had their Circle status updated to Gold (they've each done 2 P&O Australia cruises).

I guess a phone call is in order to sort it out.

    Cheers,

    Sally :)

  2. Hi All,

Most of the posts regarding this topic are a few years old, so thought I'd ask to see if anyone has recent experience - does Princess still count Sitmar cruises towards Captain's Circle membership ? I sent an email asking Princess this question, and was advised to update my details on their website, but there is nowhere on the site that will allow me to do that (that I can see).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Sally :)

  3. Hi Dee, and welcome :)

I don't post much, and only get time to check out the board in fits and bursts, as there tends to be too much going on in my life at any one moment !

Since you asked about the Canal, though, I thought I'd reply, as we did it in January 2011 with Disney. It was at the top of my bucket list, and it certainly didn't disappoint. It was right up there as the best two weeks of my life :) Many adults may be deterred from Disney, thinking it's just for kids, but the beauty of doing the PC cruise was that there were only 200 kids on board, and as such, most of the activities catered for adults. Also, Disney are fabulous when it came to accommodating SNs. On that cruise we had several people with visible SNs (DS, eyesight-impaired, hearing-impaired, mobility-impaired), all welcomed warmly on board.

Anyway, I won't have much time to write, as I've gone back to uni f/t this year, but if you've got any questions, let me know.

    Cheers,

    Sally :)

  4. Hi Yvet,

The major supermarket weekly specials (at least here in NSW) run from a Wednesday through to the following Tuesday. Some specials run for more than a week, though - depends on the time of year, and what they're trying to sell (and occasionally, what they're trying to get rid of ;) ).

    HTH.

    Cheers,

    Sally :)

  5. 1976 - 6 week cruise to SE Asia (Japan, Hong Kong, PNG, various other ports) on Sitmar's Fairstar. I was only 6yo at the time, but hooked from the get-go. Thankfully, my parents had a love for cruising, so we were fortunate to cruise often. I have since introduced my DH and children to cruising, and everyone loves them. That said, we've had a couple of less-than-stellar experiences, but now that we've found our niche, we're happy cruisers :)
