If you drive, try to miss morning rush hour from Weston to POM, as a fellow poster noted, boarding will not start untill all pax are well off the ship.  You really would not need to leave Sarasota until 7am, no waiting to board and lunch will be served.

My fear is I will be to late and the parking on site will fill up

Remember that when you are parking in a port garage (which I highly recommend), if you arrive before the disembarking passengers have left the ship and the garage you may not find a parking space.  As others have recommended, by 10:30 garage spaces will be plentiful.  Definitely not so at 7 am or 8 am.

Thanks for the helpful advice. We have decided to drive down the day before and spend 5he night at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami.

You're arriving in Miami a little early; do you have plans for breakfast or a stop somewhere? Boarding probably won't be until 11 or later.

My fear is not getting through the traffic, or getting lost and then not being able to park in the G terminal garage if it fills up.

    Im a worry wort

  4. We are cruising on the Grandeur next Wednesday. Having a bit of anxiety about the drive and parking situation at the port.
We are leaving at 3 am from Sarasota/ Bradenton area via 75 to Miami. Expecting to be in downtown Miami between 6 or 7 am.
any advice, pointers or tips to make this a success is greatly appreciated!

We are going on the Grandeur Jan 5 and 14.  Where is the diamond lounge on the ship.  What time do they put our the evening snacks. We eat dinner at   5 30 pm.  Who is the concierge. Thank you for your responses.

How was your trip? How was Grandeur?

  6. We did the drink package on a the Brilliance out of Tampa last year, 2023. I would consider myself a drinker and I know my limits. At one point close to the end of the cruise after drinking mixed drinks all day, we all looked at each other and came to the conclusion that there was very little, to no alcohol in the drinks. This really confused me because most of 5he bars we were in we watched them pouring the drinks. I’m not suggesting that the bottles were cut but it sure had me scratching my head. We are going in March and most likely will not get the package.

  7. We are on the Grandeur March 6th for 12 nights. Driving from the west coast of Florida and plan on parking the car there. Any recommendations? Is 5here a parking garage near 5he ship? Or is it easier and cheaper to get a hotel for 5he night?

  8. Where do you see this offer? We just booked a Feb 2019 cruise and was not offered this.

    Hi:

As part of a promotion Princess is offering a free Premier Beverage Package. I realize that we would not be able to select top of the line wine at dinner but can anyone tell me if they were happy with the wine choices?

    Thank you.

  9. Darth, amazing review!!!

My wife and I were suppose to be on the cruise also. We booked a JS while on the Adventure but decided to back out.

We sailed on her in April of 1992 during her inogreal year and I just fell in love with her and still sad to this day that we did not see her off to her new home.

I was so nice to see all those pictures with so many obvious upgrades to her over the years.

Check out my review of her from 1992.

Ty again, brought back many memories!!

  10. I just finished booking a cruise on the Anthem that we have been bumping from ship to ship for the last two years.

Finally decided to land it on her. Not knowing anything about it, just saw the convenience of New Jersey and Bermuda and then realized Anthem was a new ship.

We are booked in a Spa JS #13236 with our kids just around the corner in a fancy new inside stateroom.

Anyone know anything about these virtual stateroom?

    Only a year to wait!!!!!!!!!

  11. We just did Enchntment 3 day on March 13 and it was a mix of college and teens and small kids with families. The clubs were more crowded and livelier than othe cruises we have been on which was cool. The biggest problem we encountered was the smaller children that were allowed to run around amuck runnining into you with no apologies from the parents. We usually cruise in October and we think we will continue to do so

We leave this week for the three day on the Enchantment and getting worried about all the collage age kids. Never gave it a second thought when we booked it

  12. Great review JBR!!!!!!

    You are a seasoned pro.......

My wife and I are on the Enchantment on March 27th. I think I have a 300 $ on board credit so I might just buy the package.

We were on the Enchantment many years ago just before it went to get done over and it sucked. There were construction supplies everywhere ad the ship looked bad because of it.

Anyways, thanks for all the great pix. Drink up!!
