  1. My husband and I were booked on a Cunard cruise on th Queen Mart 2, starting in Fremantle on March 14 2020. When we arrived at the port we were told the cruise was cancelled and taken to a Perth hotel. We were also given a letter stating that Cunard would pay for our return trip home. We waited 3 days for Cunard to contact us, then booked our own return trip home. We checked with a Cunard representative to make sure we would receive a refund. We supplied all the necessary documentation to Cunard in early April, but have heard nothing since. Neither has the travel agent. What can we do now?

  2. Cruise Critic doesn't seem to have any reference to the Vasco Da Gama, the newest of MVC line ships. This used to be the Pacific Eden and before that was owned by Holland America. We have just booked on a 2019 voyage on the Vasco da Gama and would like to know more about her. We'd also like to have a Roll Call started. How does that happen?

  3. We are booked on Pacific Princess WC segment Los Angeles to Sydney - January 2019. We were looking at the excursions offered and were surprised to find that a Swimming Safari (TBU 790) had a maximum age of 70. Does anyone know the reason for this since the details say there are no steps. We are over 70, but fit and competent swimmers. Can the maximum age be varied and if so, how do you do this?

  4. I have had Captains Circle membership for many years. I now have a problem getting into Cruise Personaliser because I can't remember the email address I created at the time I first joined. My husband's membership is connected to our ongoing email address so he has no problem. I had to create a new one at the time to satisfy their requirements. I think that I cancelled it sometime ago. I haven't had a reply to many email requests through the Contact Us section. How can I get access to my membership using my number only?

I don't like having to wait on phone lines for up to an hour.

  5. To Princess Cruisers

We are at Platinum level in the Captains Circle and need 30 points to become Elite. We recently completed a 39 day cruise on the Queen Victoria finishing in Sydney, Australia.

We were led to believe that Cunard points may be counted in Captains Circle - provided the ship came to an Australian port. Princess hasn't answer our email query.

Does anyone know if one can get Captains Circle credit for Cunard travel days if the cruise comes to an Australian port?

  6. We're joining the Queen Victoria in Rio for the cruise to Sydney.

We are new to Cunard cruising and would like to know if you can ask for specific sized table in advance as you can on Princess and Carnival cruises.

I'm hard of hearing and wear aids which need speakers to be in front or adjacent to me in order to hear conversation. I've asked our travel agent and also emailed Cunard's customer support people. Both say I can only complain to the Maitre D after finding out that the allocated table is not suitable.

Are table allocations ever made in advance on Cunard cruises? It doesn't seem appropriate to complain after a meal. The people at the table may feel that you are complaining about them.

  7. Thanks to a member we are now booked into a Stern's jewelry tour, but just the 20 minute store tour. The Stern's website has no mention of any follow-on tour of Rio sites. The extended tour mentioned by some members must only be available to people already on a cruise ship prior to reaching Rio. Since we only embark in Rio, this doesn't apply to us.

We are a bit upset, but feel great that so many members tried to help us.

  8. We are booked on the Queen Victoria from Rio to Sydney. We've read about a tour Stern's operate in Rio with arrangements being made on the ship before it reaches the port. We are only in Rio for two nights before embarking, but would like to take part in this tour.

Can anyone please let us know how we can register our interest or can we just make our way to Stern's at a certain time and join a tour from the ship?
